It's happening right now in Asia.
It's so pretty.
I wish I could be there to witness it myself.
It's last 6 minutes 39 seconds.
I'm watching it on tv live and it's so amazing.
It's the first time I am seeing this ever.
What do you think of this?

I heard about that, I didn't see it on TV, though. I wish I was living back in China so I could see it. :C

I was too lazy to get out a piece of paper and punch a hole in it...the sun hurts my eyes D:
My dad went to watch it though, he said something about using four binoculars together to watch it xD
We don't have the full eclipse here, only about a two-thirds eclipse, since we're a little off to the southeast from China...but it was amazing in Shanghai from what I saw on the news live, the entire city was completely dark, and they had all the street lamps on too because it was like the night @ [email protected]

Stripedsocks;;
I wish I lived there to just to witness it in real life and not on tv XD
Fading Existence;;
Atleast you had somewhat of an eclipse (:
So can I ask a stupid question XD
Was it day time when it happened there?
I wonder why we would need to use four binoculars XD
Pyro neko jess;;
I am sure there is a video on the internet somewhere (:

@Stormiie: Yeah, it was around 9am - 10am if I remember correctly.
And I made a mistake...it wasn't four binoculars, it was four pairs of sunglasses >.<;; 'Binoculars' and 'sunglasses' sounded a bit alike in Mandarin and I didn't hear it properly when my dad told me over the phone [email protected][email protected] Sorry...
He stacked all four pairs of sunglasses on his face so he wouldn't be blinded, and he said he had a great vision of the eclipse...a lot of the teachers and workers (he's a professor at a college) there only brought one pair of sunglasses, and it was waaay too bright for them, so they kept on going to my dad and asking to borrow his xD

Oh that sounds absolutely amazing! I've heard about those, in the middle of the day the winds change directions and day turns to night. It sounds so lovely. In 2012 there's supposed to be one in the area I'm living in. California that is. I'm so excited for it!

Fading Existance;;
Ahh wow so it really would of made an impact on the light then XD
Wow four sunglasses, that must of been hard to wear.
When you said four binoculars I had this really funny image in my head XD
Atleast I know now if I want to see a solar eclipse I have to have four pairs of sunglasses or the special ones everyone was using on the news report :P
thoughtlessamaya;;
I also want to experience one aswell.
I would also like to see a lunar eclipse.
LunaLov;;
It does sound lovely.
You make it sound so romantic!!
Apprently in 2012 we will be able to see mars, it will look like a moon after that we won't see it for another sixty years or something like that :P
StripedSocks`;;
Haha I can agree with you there.

Oh my, another 60 years. I think I'd be on my death bed by then. Hopefully I don't miss it in 2012 then, that'd be a shame.

A lot of people were really scared of it.
Though, I didn't find out why.

@Stormiie:
lol Yeah, I had this funny image in my head too when I first thought it was four pairs of binoculars...xD;; I thought he'd wanted to have a very clear vision on the sun or something...>__>;
Yeah, I saw those special sunglasses they were using on TV too, though I've never seen them being sold anywhere for some reason...maybe those salespeople only come out with them when there's an eclipse or something? @ [email protected]

Amazing. >_> I'm in South Korea, and no one told me about it until after it happened. I didn't even get to read about it. I was indoors all day, because it was an off day for me at work and just wanted to rest.
*sighs and pouts for missing something so HUGE!*
