I suppose what I really hate about Walmart, is that it's Hannah Montana Headquarters. You walk three steps; there's a sign with Hannah Montana. You walk six steps; there's a shelf decorated with Hannah Montana. As well as the various banners hanging from the ceilings, not only of Hannah Montana but the other Disney Channel crap. |
I've only been to Wal-Mart once or twice, but some of my friends like shopping there for the variety of things that you can find for cheap. I think a lot of the things you don't like about Wal-Mart have nothing to do with Wal-Mart. :C For example, the girl with the squeaky shoes? That's not Wal-Mart's fault... Neither is the fact that an old lady was staring at you... You can't blame that on the store.

We go every saterday and I just about die with rage. I mean the walmart where I live is terrible, nothing is where it's supposed to be, theres kids running around everywhere, and the isles are so small only one basket can get through at a time, and of course people have to be idiots and come in the isle on both sides. The cold stuff, which melts very fast in this heat, is all the way in the very back of the store so once you get what you need you have to rush to the front and check out. Now me personally, I wouldnt have a problem with that if the damn cashiers knew what the hell they were doing. But of course because walmarts managers are so retarded they put all the new people on the registers, so there 15 registers open, all with the blinking light waiting for the manager on duty to come, and 20 carts in just about every isle so it takes you half an hout to an hour just to pay for your stuff, and by then all the cold stuff is melted/defrosted.

I think of Wal-Mart this way; they call into two categories—small town Wal-Marts and big city Wall-Marts.
I like small town Wal-Marts, there's perks, like the fact barely anyone shops there. There's a bit more care put into the store, you can abuse discounts because you know a good chunk of the staff, and… well, hell, it's in a small town. I don't like big city Wal-Marts, there's tons of people, everyone seems to be in low spirits and in a constant rush… the hangers are misleading. The hanger says it's a size eight, the tag says it's a fuckin' sixteen. Sigh. But no, I don't hate them. : D Hey, the stuff is cheap, it's in town, and it's fun to mess around there on a rainy day, I'm not going to complain. |
I like Walmart. We go once a week for groceries and it's not too bad depending on what day you go :]

It's fairly decent, I don't have reason to hate it, but I don't ever bother going often because there isn't one near my house. Grocery shopping at No Frills, 5 minute drive from home, all good.

Sorry, I love Walmart, well the Super Walmarts, that is. In Florida, I used to shop there for almost everything because there was one about 2 miles up the road. Here, I only go about once a month because I have to go into the next town to get to one. Most of the ones I have been to are rather nice, but there are bad ones. We had two nicer ones, Super Walmarts, and then the regular one. The regular one was kind of bad, but they closed it down and built a Super Walmart instead. Much better. The time you go also makes a difference. I used to shop mostly after 10 at night, no crowds, no one to bother you. I shop mostly during the day before people get off of work now, and it's still not bad.

walmart is amazing, they are like giant convenience stores, i go in to buy some chips and i come out with video games, ice cream, pants and a new bookcase xD

I like Wal-Mart because mine is pretty clean and has got everything I need in it. Not to mention the self-checkout lanes that no one else goes in. I can just check myself out and don't have to wait so long. :3

I HATE Wal-Mart
Everything about that corporation is shit -- the way they treat their employees, the way they keep their prices so low, their effect on the local economy, the general experience when inside a Wal-Mart, everything. I haven't been in one in over five years. |
Well, that's pretty much any large store you go to. Would you expect anything less? It is pretty unbearable though. Shoes that are made to squeak? Wow, just wow, I would be freaking out on that lady.

I like the wal-mart back home (Im on a forced vacation, lulz)
but the wal-mart here where i'm currently brooding is okay. I dont like the staff. My cousin (chinese, doesnt know a lot of english) and I were looking at those cheap 1$ bon-bon nail polishes, and a workers comes up to us and tells us to stop trying to steal nail polish.. We were just looking! Well she was looking, I was reading the names of them to her... |
I'm not a major fan of Walmart as I know they're doing a lot of outsourcing to keep prices low, not to mention exploiting workers. They are, however, very competitive as far as prices go. (Some things are cheaper at Meijer though - mainly fresh stuff like meat is better quality since they have an in-store butcher...)
If I had lots of money I would shop elsewhere and boycott it though. |
Target is significantly better than Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart only hires disabled people/crack heads and people that get money from the government, because when Wal-Mart does that they get tax breaks.
Also, Wal-Mart has the most ghetto clothes EVER. Target has some really badass/cute clothes and shoes. |

I don't dislike it. I dislike the people who have no business there at all. I also hate how a whole billion of people cram into one wal-mart and expect it to be cold but it is all fu-king humid and sh-t. I just want to get my stuff and go, okay. If they have no business they shouldn't be in the store, I mean that is why they made the mall. Dx Plus, I buy half of my stuff there.
