My family and I usually play board games like Scrabble, Life, War, Payday, etc. Or we use our laptops if they're charged enough.

Listen to my music with my MP3, play with my dog, go outside, draw A LOT xD, read books, try not to think about the computer:sarcasm:

I love to just light all the candles and chill out. My family seems to get rather hushed when the power goes out, so its generally a cozy time. We might chat a little, but most of the time we're just relaxing. Its comforting that they totally trust me to take care of them, even if the outage becomes a big deal or long term.

I light mass ammounts of candles, get some paper, and light little wooden skewers on fire, then draw with the charcole. It's really fun. xD |
i like to play cards in a candle lit room. i also just like chillin with friends or family. oh, i also like eating when the power goes out. that's always nice and fun. i just like the relaxing feeling you get sometimes when the powers out and you don't do what you usually do. idk. it's complicated, i guess. l0l.

It depends on how long it's out. Usually, I set up a nice little flashlight beside me, scope out the house for any candles or ~mysterious things~, and after that's over I usually sit down on my bed and play whatever it is I have that's charged. Usually if it's my DS. When that's done, I draw. If it' s a really long time, however, I usually just listen to my parents panic. It's quite amusing because my dad freaks out when something like that happens, which is where I learned to scope out the whole house. xP |
I love it when the power goes out~! Unfortunately it doesn't happen a lot where I live. But I will usually get a flashlight or candles and read or write. Sometimes if I get tired of that then I'll play my PSP or my Nintendo DS or play around on my laptop until it dies. It's so much fun to read when the power goes out though. But, I must admit it's not nearly as much fun when it's not storming outside when it's out.

During our last black out, my friends, my cousins and I waited till dark then we played man-hunt in the streets. When we got tired we stargazed and told each other jokes.

first, i would want to walk into things, because i liked hurting myself. or i do, sometimes. then i would light the candles and read. and i would also play with the fire. i am so weird XD

i get out the lamp out and read though last time the power went out i took a bath but most of the time i play my ds or go on my psp

Sleeping is always a good plan, if there's still light out I read, or use a flashlight. Firing up the hotpot and eating is always a yummy as well. ^_^ If the weather's not too bad and it's just the power that's out, I'll go and hang outside. Usually down the street at some friends house because the they're on a different grid.

I usually go to sleep. Depending on how long it's out and the temperature though, I might go find somewhere with air conditioning (and power) to hang out for a few hours during the day. The power rarely goes out in the apartment complex, the only time it's actually been out is when me and my wife weren't home for the day...we came back home and had to reset clocks and stuff. Other than that we only get a few flickers here and there when we get really nasty storms.

Depends, on where I am. a lot of times if the power goes out and the weather isn't bad then Me and my family will just sit outside on the porch and just talk and laugh.

If it's day time, I usually read. If it's night, I sit with my family around the radio. Or sometimes if I'm lucky, my laptop is charged and I can still go about life like normal. xD

I used to have that happen every once in awhile, so I would play on my DS. I almost always had it charged. One time I lit some candles and knitted. Yes, I knit. :P |
I usually just sit around and relax, eyes closed and savoring the silence as it passes by. Then I light a candle and draw!

We haven't had a decent power cut in years. The last one i remember, was around 12 years ago, when i was fourish. We all congregated in the front room, lit candles, and i remember playing with a ball thingy on the floor with my brother.
I'm not sure what i'd do now. Maybe just go outside, or phone a friend. |
The last time the power went out here was for about 2 seconds and then we got everything back. The time before that the power was out for 3 days in the middle of december, my dad ended up getting a generator and we spent a good deal of the time playing card games of doing a puzzle, and going out to eat since our refrigerated food was pretty much spoiled.

This is kind of weird to say but what if you had a rave at your house during power outage? xD
You had a stereo/boombox/CD player that also ran on batteries, a bunch of fancy glow stick items, and funky techno music. 8D That would be epic. |
Well, when the power is out, that means theres no tv. And my internet wouldnt work.... but it doesnt mean I cant still use my computer. So, usually I just find a movie and watch it on there. Or i listen to my ipod, relax, and take a nap.

Firstly, I kind of flip out and go into a "fight or flight" reaction. Clueless as to why. And, if it's not too dark, I can always read.
