I'd say sometimes I act like a kid and an adult and I've been teased by being called an old man when I'm not old at all.

Remiem 09-19-2009 04:42 AM

It kind of depends. ^^ I know how to act mature and when I really SHOULD act mature. On the other hand, I love plushies; I play games like tag, hide and seek in the dark, Shutes and Ladders, Candy Land, and the ground is hot lava; I still enjoy childrens cartoons; and I love the swings.

When it comes to acting my age, i think it changes like a split personality.
If i get really hyped up i act like a complete weirdo as if im a kid,
but as a general person i would say i am pretty mature for my age xD

Bunai 11-08-2009 11:45 AM

due to the lack of other 20's being around me
I don't act my age at all...

I feel more child like then adult.

It depends on what's going on and who I'm with whether or not I act my age. Obviously, if my child is in trouble or putting himself in danger, I'll act my "mommy age". But if we're inside, I've been known to have nerf-gun wars with the family too. If I'm out with friends, I play, and if I'm in a professional setting, I act professionally - but these last couple examples have more to do with cultural/professional expectations and necessity than "acting my age"

Trippy_Trixx 11-08-2009 03:18 PM

Depending on my mood.

I'm 21 years old, and yes there is still things that will just make me all giddy like a little school girl. Though most the time, though I'm always laughing; I act way older then my age. But that isn't just because, no. When we moved down here to Florida (I was 7 at the time), my parents both had to get jobs and I was stuck playing mom when we weren't in school. Hell, my 13 year old sister is my baby. I raised her since she was a infant.
But when I am out with my friends and boyfriend, instead of acting like the middle aged house wife I act like a goofy 21 year old girl.

Generally I act much older than I really am, 17, but just like everyone else they're are times I can be really silly and childish. ;]

Malice Mourn 11-08-2009 06:12 PM

There are sometimes I act my age... There are times, I probley act older...

But, there are alot of times I act younger. >..>

If the way you act is hindering you Socially, then yeah, it is a problem.

ElysiumFate 11-09-2009 03:25 AM

I usually act more mature than my age but I have my moments when I'm like a five year old. I mean, hey, life isn't all serious. Besides, if I acted uppity and mature all of the time I would be a very horrible person to be around.

Murasaki Fujiwara 11-09-2009 05:21 AM

I'm 21, and no, I do not act my age.
I prefer to act much younger because I feel that children's minds are not as limited by the concept of 'informed' reality.
I find other 21 year olds dull and immature in a different way: many of them act like 14 year year old girls in the the mall rather than responsible adults. If that it what it means to act my age, then I'll act like a 3rd grader any day of the week.

Fastion 11-09-2009 05:35 AM

Sometimes, depends on my mood, the day and where I am. Usually I act pretty mature (matches my age really), but if I'm in the right situation and I'm with people I know and trust who act more childish I tend to do the same. Usually if I'm by myself somewhere I'm quiet and reserved, but not always.

Lynds 11-09-2009 05:53 PM

When I am hyper I do act a bit stupid lol, but when I aren't I'd say I act my age :]

LustyScoundrel 11-09-2009 05:58 PM

It's on and off. I'm 16-years-old, but a lot of people tell me I'm quite mature for my age. But in actuality, I act like a little kid, sometimes too.

Kole_Locke 11-09-2009 06:07 PM

Just depends on the mood I am in. Sometimes I can be immature about things and sometimes I can be quite mature. Mature is defined by each person differently. As in being able to take the "high road" on certain situations. Sometimes I am more of a kid at heart and I take things with a grain of salt which may be seen as not acting my age. Other times I may take issues too seriously or maybe focusing on doing responsible activities which would make me appear to be mature. Maturity is all a shade of gray and pertains to certain situations which people may or may not be mature about. Sometimes it's about my personality and others it may pertain to a certain situation. So for me it's a roller coaster.

Yeah, like in school Im crazy as fuck and at the mall, etc.

But when i go on a date or just chilling with a guy or w.e or older people, i act like im ninteen or someshit. :)

twilightduck12 11-10-2009 02:25 AM

i love bein like a little kid, but sometimes u cant, so i dont....and it makes me sad. but other wise i act older than i am. i act like 17

Washu 11-10-2009 02:29 AM

This kind of depends on my mood or who I am with at the time. I'm twenty-two. If I'm at work I try to act my age. If I'm home with my boyfriends I can be goofy and stuff. Heehee. Just depends.

♥Martyr♥ 11-12-2009 01:25 AM

Well, I'm 16 and I have no clue if I act like it or not. I mean, my dads thinks I'm to immature and act like a kid...and my mom thinks I act a little too mature...well, I guess all moms would say that...and then when I'm around my fiends and boy friend I think I am my age...What does an average 16 year old do...dance, sing, yell, whine...lazy. Which is pretty much me...haha. So according to me...yeah sure. According to my parents...well what do they know...they have their own thinking styles...SO I take my answer back from the beginning...I do act my age!!!

Stallion Duck 11-12-2009 01:34 AM

Around adults, yes. I normally act older than usual.
But like most cases, when I am with my friends I act like I'm six.

Megato 11-12-2009 02:38 AM

Usually not. Unless I'm in a professional setting. But when I get home, it's a free for all for my inner crazy, pixie stick eatin' kid inside.

I act my age when I want to... I usually don't want to. x)

LadyGenivive 11-12-2009 02:58 AM

When I was younger I used to be confused for an upperclassman. I've been mature for my age since my parents got divorced but hey, C'est la vie.

Samona 11-12-2009 03:25 AM

Give me one good reason to start acting my age(21), there is ni good reason growing up is a state of mind I have both extremes the super genius way to intelligent and proper for my age side and the childish, outgoing, energetic, wants to go on every roller coaster she can 25 times, plays video games etc, side; I mean why should I totally grow up it is way too boring and to quote Shikamaru from Naruto
Quote:

it's such a drag..

jumpinjeannie 11-12-2009 03:30 AM

I'm 21, and I've been told I both act mature, but am kinda immature as well.

It doesn't help that I am usually mistaken for a high school kid (I look extremely young.) and I have an "undying optimistic/happy-go-lucky attitude" (quoting my boyfriend here, not tooting my own horn lol)
