Well, one of my favorite books is Alice in Wonderland.
And one of my favorite quotes is something Alice says, although I like most everything she says.
Quote:

"If you drink too much from a bottle marked "poison," it's almost certain to disagree with you sooner or later."
But my favorite quote of all time is from The Last Vampire by Christopher Pike.
Quote:

"The opposite of love is not hate. It is indifference."

FearedxRawr 10-14-2009 03:52 AM

I've been making a quotes journal from the movies that I have been watching lately, and these are some of my favorites this far:

Quote:

We breath and we pulse; we regenerate. Our hearts beat, our minds create; our souls ingest. Thirty seven seconds well spent is a lifetime.
Mr. Magorium, from Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

Quote:

Certainty of death, small chance of success--what are we waiting for?
Gimili from Return of the King.

Quote:

Bang! goes that theory.
Niquel from Nanny McPhee

Quote:

Give up! There are four of us and you only have four bullets left!--Wait, that doesn't add up.
Jaque Clouseau from the Pink Pather 2

Quote:

I don't want to survive; I want to live!
The Captain from Wall-E

"Tinkerbell: You know that place between sleep and awake, the place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always love you, Peter Pan. That's where I'll be waiting."
~ Peter Pan 2003

Are you sure that's from Peter Pan?
I could swear that's Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell in "Hook".

Quote:

Love doesn't consist of staring at each other, but looking in the same direction.

Duncan_Greymorn 11-05-2009 03:43 PM

I didn't look through all the quote so someone may have posted this one already but its one of my favorites.

Quote:

And if we shadows have offended
Think but this and all is mended
that you have but slumber'd here
whil'st these visions did appear
and this weak and idle theme
no more yielding than a dream.
William Shakespeare - A Midsummer Night's Dream

Zackarai 11-05-2009 05:38 PM

My favorite villain, Luca Blight from Suikoden II.
Quote:

"It took hundreds to kill me but I killed humans by the thousands. I am sublime!!! I am the true face of evil!!!!"
And some quotes from Egbert from Suikoden V. He's funny.
Quote:

"Damned Godwins! My family's been storing up its rage for a hundred years! Worthless, filthy devils! You don't deserve sunlight, or air! You deserve to be buried in garbage! You deserve to DIE choking on rotten feces at the bottom of the world's flithiest, darkest cesspit!!"

"Ah, nothing like a nice, quiet game to soothe the flames of eternal righteous hatred. Care to play?"
He's always ranting about how much he hates the Godwins.

Quote:

"FANTASY LOVE IS MUCH BETTER THAN REALITY LOVE. NEVER DOING IT IS VERY EXCITING. THE MOST EXCITING ATTRACTIONS ARE BETWEEN TWO OPPOSITES THAT NEVER MEET."
-ANDY WARHOL
While to some this may seem inappropriate subject matter, Andy is using that as an example. The quote is about the beauty, and the mystery of two things that could be, but never will be.
I have been through some things in my life similar to that, and it -is- exciting, sometimes frustrating, but its something like a new love- nerve wracking, but fun.

Andy Warhol is also one of my 'celebrities', 'heroes', what have you. I think he is a beautiful person.

Did you guys know that some of the most popular quotes from Shakespeare are actually worded slightly differently in the actual text?

In this sense, the more he has, the less he is.
"

Quote:

"Damn ye, you are a sneaking puppy, and so are all those who will submit to be governed by laws which rich men have made for their own security."
Quote:

"Damn ye altogether: damn them for a pack of crafty rascals, and you, who serve them, for a parcel of hen-hearted numbskulls. They vilify us, the scoundrels do, when there is only this difference, they rob the poor under the cover of law, forsooth, and we plunder the rich under protection of our own courage; had you not better make one of us, than sneak after the asses of those villains for employment?"
-- "Black" Sam Bellamy, pirate captain

DariaMorgendorfer 11-06-2009 05:09 AM

I am trying to edit your post and having my own computer issues. You almost have it. You need to add [quote] to the beginning of where you want the quote box to start in your post. Also, please don't double post. I'll try to merge those for you.

Ferra 11-06-2009 05:13 AM

Daria is correct. Just add the tag [quote] to the front and you would have gotten it. :) I edited it into the post for you.

deweyduquesne 11-06-2009 05:18 AM

but do is it [quote][quote] or just one [quote]?
