I've never texted in my life, and I never plan to. I absolutely despise it, and I find cell phones in general to be incredibly annoying.

I don't get how you can stand to constantly be talking to someone. It seems like people who constantly text each other would drive each other insane. Not to mention most text message conversations don't seem to include much of an actual conversation, rather than just one-word responses and such. I might be able to understand it better if people actually talked about something meaningful through texting, instead of mostly gossiping and talking in chat-speak.

It could just be that I tend to find most teenagers annoying, and end up disliking most of the things they seem to develop obsessions with. No offense to anyone on here; it's mostly people at my school that bother me, not all teenagers everywhere in the world, I'm sure.

Sadly I do. I have free calling for 100 mins but I never use it. I'm too used to texting now Dx.

I don't really text that much. I used to all the time last year, not sure why it's changed.

Before I got free texting and a phone with a full keyboard, not so much, but now I'm a freaking textaholic.

i don't like to text, but i do it fairly often anyway.

I do text, just it not enough for my parents to get made at me or take away my phone. I done have many freinds that will carry on a conversation over text messages. But when I do get to talk with my friends I text them all day long if the convo lasts that long.

I text a decent amount I guess but not too much, the only reason being my plan has unlimited texting but a limited about of minutes I only send texts to 3 different people though. everyone else I talk to I usually reach my max minutes each month so thats why I text those three instead of talk on the phone with them alot... other than that I use email and IM to chat with people too when im at a computer

I may hate phones but I still think people shouldn't make an excuse of "but you weren't online!?!?"when they can simply call me.

I text a lot i suppose but only to my friends that live in other places.
I don't get to see them (maybe once a year?) and i like to keep in touch.
One doesnt have a computer so i couldnt keep in touch that way

I have a phone but I don't text. It's not that I really dislike texting, it's just that I don't like texting on my phone. I use IM and e-mails to keep in touch.

Oh I love texting and yes, I do have a cell. It is a tracfone, but hey for 45 bucks I can text/call all I want for a month. I text my family, boyfriend and friends. Why? I just find it to be the easiest way to communicate. My family do not like picking up the phone when it rings and it is easier for me to just text them so they can get my messages faster. My friends are usually busy and they do not pick up their phone, so when texting they can find my message whenever they see the phone's screen. Plus, I don't like leaving or hearing voicemail, it seems like a waste of time for me.

However, if I need to have a long discussion about something that is when I actually talk. I just prefer to text when finding something out or with small talk.

i do text every once and a while whenever i feel like it and stuff but if i need to talk to them asap then i just call them ^^
or i talk to them online ( i think online its a lot more easier for me since most of the time im home ^^)

Oh! Duuude! You should get a Straight Talk phone if you can. For 45 bucks you can get unlimited calls, text and web for one month. Or you can play 30 bucks for 1000 minutes. :vicky:

I text a lot, but I only really talk to two people on a regular basis. (my husband and his mom) I do prefer texting to talking on the phone though. Whenever I want to hang out or talk with someone, I text them. I used to text more when I lived in my hometown and when I was single. I just don't have as much of a need as I used to I guess.

I text at LEAST 500 times a day. <_<

I judge that based on how many times I clear my messages per day. I usually do it two or three times a day, and my phone has a 200 limit on my inbox.

I text a lot. I hate talking on the phone and my speaker on my phone is broken so I kind of have to text to talk to anyone.

I don't text, at all, unless my best friend texts my mom's cellphone. I think it's a lot better just to talk on the phone or see each other and talk.

I don't have a cellphone, nor do I text on other people's cellphones. Heck, I don't even call people. I find it all rather annoying and done in excess these days.
