So, I got diagnosed with this today. I am a wee bit freaked out by it. I'm not really looking for advise or anything, just wondering what people know about it, think about it, et cetera. Have you or someone you know dealt with PTSD? Discuss.

All I know is that it's stress that's caused by some sort of intense trauma. It can lead to things like anxiety or night terrors or depression. My father-in-law dealt with it after he came back from Viet Nam, I can only assume my father had it as well to some degree... that was a pretty horrific war.
