My birthday was last month, and one of my friends gave me a gift card and a book. Well, she got a lot of grief from various cashiers. First of all, she put it in a bag from Victoria's Secret because she wanted the bag to have my name on it. Apparently when she went to the store and asked for just a bag the cashier questioned it or something. I know it's an odd request, but it sounds like she was kind of rude about it. >_> I never shop at that store, but I've heard people are not so nice there. Which will probably mean I'll continue to not shop there. Secondly, when she went to Best Buy to get a gift card, she asked to put eight dollars on it. XD She doesn't have much money because she doesn't have a job, and I know this, and to me, a gift is a gift and it's a nice thing, it doesn't have to be a lot. Plus sometimes I take forever to spend giftcards anyway and I combine more than one to buy something. So no big deal. But the cashier asked her if it was a joke gift because it was such a small amount of money. :P I guess he figured it would be offensive otherwise. But I know her situation so it doesn't bother me at all.

One of my friends got a lolita doll from her aunt at her confirmation.
But it was because her aunt had promised her to take her to a strip bar when she got 14, because the aunt had been on a strip bar when SHE was 14, but now my friend had become 15, and hadn't been on a strip bar yet.
So as an excuse, the aunt bought the lolita doll, gave him clothes on and made my friend take the clothes off him. My friend said it was pretty funny.
Later we named the lolita doll Helmut X3

lol a family member gave me a christmas present wrappped with tampon box, the present was fin it was just sort of weird opening a tampon box with my whole family waiting to see what was in it

In my opinion, this gift is amazing. XD I think I would squeeze the life out of said friend.

... can I just say that your mom sounds horrible? Being insulted is going to make a person feel ashamed, not motivated. That just seems like common sense. :/

I got three rolls of colored Duck Tape for no reason. ._.

It didn't really seem weird to me, since I indirectly asked for one, but my friends went WTF when another friend gave me a Bible for my birthday.

Hey, I've wanted to read it for a long time, even though I'm an atheist. It's not that weird.

Other than that, I've never really gotten any weird gifts.

Me and my friends decided to do Secret Santa last year, I recieved an old prom keychain with a condom in it O.o . Well that was part of the gift, the other part was a shirt. I wonder if it was an accident or...

I've had plenty of weird gifts.. I don't know what the weirdest one would be. *thinks* maybe the barbie doll I got when I was 13. Not that barbie dolls are weird, but I really wasn't into it, and like what kinda person gives someone who isn't interested in barbies a barbie doll..and especially when they're too old for such things. Though later I found out that it was a collectible, but I also don't see the point of having something that you're supposed to play with, but then end up not playing with it because it'll be worth money one day...maybe.

It was Spongebob band-aids. xD I told my boyfriend and he was like "Well, is she expecting you to get hurt more often now that you turned 18?" hahaha P:

My first boyfriend ever gave me a little metal container he made for me. Doesn't seem all that weird until you know that it's crimson red and shaped like a mushroom. :roll:

I was given what I thought was a box of chocolates. Turns out it was a gag gift filled with fake dog poo.

Itchy, scratchy hot pink, bright blue, and brown form-fitting turtleneck sweaters... with glittery threads woven in.. .from my aunt..... for Christmas. -_-

I tossed the pink and blue (EUGH) and I actually wore the brown one a few times before finally tossing that one in the trash. Don't ever, ever buy clothes that glitter.. Baaaaad idea.
