Well I ask because... I was wondering, how many of you freshman who started school, how many of you survived? Was it terrible, horrible, great or perfect? I ask because I see so many topics about advice, first day of high school.

Awesome/Terrible/Okay

How was your first week of school?;)

Made it, but since I had a middle/high school joined together, I don't think anything I have to say applies here. >.>

my first week of school as a freshman was the same as every other first week of school since i started attending school. a little apprehensive, a little excited, nervous, and yet hopeful.
no point in fighting it, its gonna happen one way or another... so just accept it and move on...

Meh, it was school for me. I didn't really care that much, it's a pretty insignificant when you look back on it. *shrugs* ^^

I have always been terrible the first two weeks of school. I'm not sure why, really. I'm just not very good with large, confined groups of people, I guess.
So, yeah, I survived. Barely. The work itself was easy, it was the people who frightened me.

But it all got put past me. I'm in college now and, thus far, loving it.

It was bad at first...I had no friend for about two weeks. Then I made some friends and it was better. I bombed a lot of classes though cause I got lazy and was drinking quite a bit. Also on the subject do not drink beer. I gained 30pounds at college...so drink...hard stuff.^^ Anyhow it wil be great once you get into teh swing of things.

Phht. Freshman year sucked. =D I had my longest relationship then, but I was so depressed before it, and I was reeeeally bad near the end of it. (He thought I was avoiding him. I was just sobbing in a corner somewhere. xD)

I don't have normal school lives. xD

My older brother was a senior when I was in freshman year, so high school started out pretty easy. No worries about freshing, no worries about getting lost. My big bro looked out for me.

now my graduating year, that I almost didn't survive!

I graduated last year, but my first day of school was horrible.

I had a whole chain of horrible events that day, and I spent half of it near tears.

But it had -nothing- to do with the school (outside a few paper errors, but seen to after the third or forth office call).

The upperclassman were a little peeved at us, but respectful and helpful with finding our way. My teachers were great, and even though I go lost on the way to English (which was in the middle of nowhere in the school), the teacher was understanding because of the location.

I liked that school so much. I was so sad to leave it a month later. D:

My first few weeks of the school after it... were so horrible. I didn't have any friends (and I didn't have any close friends for almost two years), and it was just... not my type of school. I was never able to fit in, I was just too liberal minded and too introverted.

We had a riot during my Freshman year of High School. I was in the school when it happened though.

For my Junior and Senior year, I moved overseas and went to an International School in Scotland. My graduating class only had 25 people. We were fairly close knit, there weren't really any outcasts.

I'd say that I survived quite well by flying under the radar and sticking with my group of friends.

It was actually kind of hard for ME, but not in general.
I only had a few good friends that I held close to me, but I am friends with pretty much everyone :/
But my good friends would always get jealous, and my one friend Em liked a guy that I was apparently talking to, and she flipped on me, and it started alot of drama, because he came over and asked me if I would date him. :/ I don't know why that happens, but my GOOD friends learn not to take it personally anymore. But in high school you might change, your friends might change, and I mean they might change drastically. The shock of being higher up and whatnot, could be life altering, and could even "dement" you in a sense.

well, i'm going to be going into my second year of college, but i guess i'll just tell you about my first day of high school?

well, my first day of high school was absolutely great. it wasn't as bad as i thought it'd be, and i wasn't as nervous as i thought i'd be either. i fit right in with everybody, and i made a lot of friends, so did i on the following days and the weeks onward. my freshman year was a year to remember. i remembered being scared about freshman friday, but there was no freshman friday in my school. people had told me that only the 'lames' did that, and lames meaning the people who thought they were cool but really weren't. so yeah. :D fun times!

I survive all four years of high school already. I never really had a problems being a freshman. A group of seniors/juniors took me under their wing that year and everything was gravy from that point on. xD

It was my junior year that was bad. u_u I was surrounded by people who weren't really my friends, and I was having some trouble dealing with the way they treated me, but too scared not to have friends and I let them do it. And I had possibly the worst boyfriend on the planet.

So the moral of this story is: Don't let people mistreat you in high school, or they'll walk all over you until you stop letting it happen.

Wish I could remember the first week or so of High School Freshman year. It's been awhile for me, now if you were asking about college freshman year. I could be a little bit more helpful, that was a lot closer in time to me. haha, don't worry, seniors just don't care enough to bother with the freshies so much, it's the juniors you need to look out for.

Eh, it was pretty much like any other day. Except I think I did get lost.. I wasn't used to all the people (the middle school I went to was right next to the high school but I was in the trailers with some other students who the teachers thought wouldn't be comfortable with a lot of others), the layout was a bit weird, and... I think that's it. It just wasn't as big of a deal as people made it out to be. =/

Oi, high school... Glad that's over! lol My freshman year wasn't all that bad. I kept to myself, save for my closest friends, and made it out just fine. ;) Word of advice, keep to the edges of the hallways and don't look anyone in the eye. 8P Just kidding... No seriously though, don't look upperclassmen in the eye.:sarcasm: Most high school kids are mean and when they look you in the eye, they've got you.

Freshman in high school or college? High school was okay. Just like college it was a swirl of confusion but there were people there to help out, plus my friends from middle school were there to keep me grounded. I made friend's in no time!

As for college met people and made friends slowly but surely and by October we made a pretty tight group! The cafeteria is the best place to meet people hands down. :3
