Hey!
I'm about to get my senior pictures taken (two days from now LOL) and I was thinking about zits, and what would happen if I suddenly broke out. T_T
So now I want to know, how did you control your breakouts? Do you have a special/unique way to get rid of them? What brands do you use?
And um, for fun, do you have any funny stories that have to do with zits? (the stories don't have to be about you either)

Sadly, my face hates me.
Normally I have pretty clear skin, but then for a couple months everytime I got my period my face broke out in hundreds of painful little zits and they stay for at least a week before going away. It hurts. Then it happened everytime I wore sunscreen, so I stopped doing that. Last time it happened was when I was in the sun too long, I'm still trying to get rid of that one.
I use a few things. I normally use Meleluca Zap it soap and Mary Kay Moisturizer. But I just started using some mark products and they are amazing. I ,love them. I also have tried Avon Clearskin or whatever it's called. It doesn't work well though.

I use Rapid Clear from Neutragena. They're cleaning pads and they're really good. But If a zit does manage to sneak through, I just pop them.

Mm, my face usually stays pretty clear. I just use the cheap generic cleanser from Wal-Mart. But I do like popping zits.
DUDE THOUGH! I hate when there's one zit that hurts so bad (pressure pressure!) but you just can't pop it.
I use this other thing called 'On the Spot' and it works really well. I have really oily skin though, and it dries my skin out, so I can't imagine what it might be like for someone with dry skin.

I never get pimples, I just get little bumps. Like I got a pimple a couple of months ago and didn't really know what it was. <___<;
But I use Clearasil at night and I wash my face in the morning... Works pretty decently.

Oh.. God, I hate pimples! D: I currently have some on my forehead but no one sees them because of my bangs. Thank you bangs..! :') lol but seriously? I used to use Clean and Clear, and then Proactive before but they didn't help me. The Clean and Clear was too harsh. D:<

It might sound weird, but I put lemon on them whenever I break out. Yeah, lemons! Those little sour fruit things. If you have sensitive skin I suggest you skip a day between aplications. Just heat it for five seconds on the microwave and then cut it open. Then apply directly on the face and leave on for at least thirty minutes. Then just rinse it off.
It does wonders for me! :D

i currently have zits. )': it sucks. i have bangs too, Agent HEY-LEE, but my hair is really curly, so you can still see them. and i have some zits right next to my nose (ugh!) so it doesn't matter. i just have oily skin and oily hair. it's a curse. i used to wash my face every morning, but after a while i didn't have the time. i'm trying to get back to that. and i use this um, clearasil ultra stuff once a week. it says to use it daily, but that doesn't work for me. wow gothangel! i have to try that some time. how did you find that out?

Same here, I have stupid little pimples all near my nose! D:
I would try Clearasil but it's not vegan. After doing a little search, though, I realized using lemons isn't that unheard of. =/

I liked Clearasil, it worked so well for me. *too cheap to buy it now* But it is one that I would recommend.
About the lemon thing, is it a lemon slice? Or a whole lemon that you put inside the microwave?
Hey-Lee: Is it really bad to use Clearasil as a Vegan? Is that for all cleanser?

@Agent HEY-LEE- huh, i didn't know that. how is it not, er, vegan friendly? anyways, it sucks to have zits especially around here, nobody else does yet. DX and really??? i never heard of that at all!
@Panic- yeah, if i remember to wash my face daily and use that once a week, it works pretty well. i'm almost out though. i think it's supposed to be half the lemon. i think, but then again, what do i know?

Toothpaste is a pretty common house remedy for pimples, but it dries out the skin and can cause some skin problems when you're older. I used to use some clearisil cleaning pads that took literally a single mintue to clean my face with every morning. But my face doesn't break out too much anymore *Knock on wood*, so it's all good. :D

I can't use any products, since even the most gentle ones burn my face like crazy. So I end up just pop pop popping! I once had a pustule on my back that I could touch, but not squeeze, so I had to ask my mom to pop it for me. It was kinda weird.

I have sensitive, oily skin so I break out really easily. Right now I'm taking a prescription medicine called minocycline. It took three months for it to really start working, but it's finally helping. Yay! Anyways, my suggestion for otc remedies would include hydrogen peroxide, and Noxzema. Be sure to wash your face every night before bed. I've also found that a mild antibacterial soap helps. Wash your face for 20 seconds with soap, then wash with the Noxzema. Finally, follow up with an oil absorbing moisturizer. Noxzema is very inexpensive and Mary Kay sells an excellent oil absorbing moisturizer called Velocity. Hydrogen peroxide is good to use if you know you're about to break out in a certain spot. Dab some onto the pimple and leave it there. Hope that helps you a bit!

I used to have pimples really badly. Then I stopped washing my face at all, and only used moisturizer. Yeah, no more pimples. Just the odd one around my lips, which really sucks. I just pop them. ^^;
Every now and then, if I really want a pimple gone, I just dab a little bit of toothpaste on it before bed, then wash it off gently in the morning. It dries the spot right up and makes it A LOT less noticeable.
This might not work of everyone, of course.

I pop them if they've got an obvious core. I'm a habitual picker though, so it is tough to tell myself not to pop them when all it is is the pressure and redness starting before it erupts. Trying to pop them before they've got a core does no good and sometimes makes it worse.
Popping it the right way helps though, by pulling the skin around the area gently instead of squeezing it.
Luckily now I only break out when I'm pms'ing and my hormones are out of whack, but when I was younger.... whooo boy, it was pretty bad.

Pulling the skin? I've never heard of that one either. I'll give that and the tooth paste thing a try. I don't have uber sensitive skin. *I paint on myself all the time*
So I don't think that'll be to much of an issue. I'm kinda excited about this. :) <3

Clinique toner's really good. It's kinda pricey, but it's well worth it. Also, Olay cleansing cloths are really good. They're exfoliating and they clean well.

Pulling is actually more like, gently applying lateral pressure to the area around the zit once it's hit the ready to burst stage. But not forcing it if it doesn't.
Most people pop the zit by squeezing it, but that can break up the gunk inside of it and just make it spread or get worse.
Though a warm or hot compress can help bring the pimple to the surface to make it ready to pop, but that's not something you should do unless you have lots of time to let the redness fade.
Also applying a green based concealer (or if you're in a pinch, matte green eye shadow) is an effective way of disguising breakouts. Wearing foundation is always a must if you're in a situation where your picture is getting taken and you're worried about pimples, pores, or other complexion issues.

Number two and three I make sure to do everyday. I still get pimples since I'm at that time of my life, but I'm fairly certain that I'm taking good enough care of my face and that I would be much worse if I didn't wash my face with hot then cold water.
I don't put on makeup though, so that might also contribute to my clear skin. o:

So, I tried the toothpaste thing last night. It really works! I'm excited about it, it feels weird putting it on, but I can feel it drying out the zit, and the pressure goes away. :) <3
