Acrophobia - Fear of heights.
Aeroacrophobia- Fear of open high places.
Agoraphobia - Fear of Crowds.
Aviophobia - Fear of flying.
Obesophobia - Fear of gaining weight.

...And these are serious fears, not just things I have an aversion to. I start hyperventilating and shaking whenever I even think about stuff like this. :l

Bugs, falling backwards...

I am scared of....
Flashing lights, bees, clowns, dolls, being alone, and losing people who are close to me.
I can't stand birds, due to an incident when I was younger, but I'm not afraid of the per say.
I'm not going to search for all the technical terms.
That list is pretty long.

Remember, phobias are irrational and intense fears, not just being really scared of something.

I have a mild form of claustrophobia. I don't know which phobia it would be, but I also have an intense and extreme fear of being held down or held under covers of any kind. Of course those are things that usually happen only when you might be playing around with another person, so it's rare that I encounter it anymore, but whoa! when I used to! It would really freak me out. I'd feel like I couldn't breathe and start screaming and yelling and fighting like crazy to get away.

I have a serious phobia of throwing up.
I would rather feel sick for days instead of throwing up.

I honestly have ochlophobia. For years I've had it and known. I can't be near crowd, I can't watch large crowds on tv or movies, and just thinking about Ny City I get minor panic attacks.... and I love concerts and parties... :<

I know what a phobia is.. >.>; One of the reason I'm scared of falling is because I saw my grandma fall down our front stairs a few years ago. She most likely would have died if it wasn't for our monkey grass protecting her head. Whenever I'm in any type of seat that reclines back I can't help but think I'll fall. Or even if I look up too high I'm afraid of falling. Or if I climb a lot of steps, 'specially the ones in my auditorium at school.

Like the feeling of dropping/falling. I HATE that. I can't go on roller coasters they terrify me, literally traumatizing. I faint on the ride and flop all over the place.
LOL I almost died once. My head came REALLY close to hitting a bar.

I'm also afraid of dark rooms with the closet open. I never really got over that fear from my childhood. Thank god my room has no closet. xD

I'm kind of afraid of the dark. But not really. My mind just plays tricks with me and I see shit that isn't there. Like for example, my brain will make shadows move and turn into really fucked up creatures. :o

I'm also paranoid that there's going to be some crazy outbreak like zombies of lepracy (sp? xD) or some crazy flesh eating virus.

I would FREAK if I ever had a big hole in my skin too. Like one time my friend got bit by a fiddle back spider, and it left this horrible hole in her arm. D; (She went to the doctor and got it all fixed up and drained of coarse.) But I was getting more sick then she was about it. I could never imagine having a deep puss filled hole in my arm. I'd chop my arm off, seriously. That would be less scary to me. It was like MRCA. It freaked me the fuck out.

@Oirish: Now that sounds like me! xD I have to walk down this.. well, there's a road and then there's a little slope to the sidewalk and I have to walk down it everyday to get to one of my classes. D: I walk always hold my breath and walk on my tiptoes.

If the "I know what a phobia is" was directed at me, I wasn't directing my post at any particular poster, nor being a smart ass. It's one of my peeves when people say the have a phobia, when actually all they have is a really bad fear of something. A bad fear is not the same as a phobia. I was merely giving a reminder. When I see someone making a huge list of them, it really makes me throw the BS flag-either that or that is one really screwed up person :)! I'm afraid of bugs. If I see a big one, I'm very likely to jump, scream and run from the room, my heart will actually race, but that doesn't make it a phobia. It's more a fear combined with being startled and surprised by it. Phobias are more consuming than that. Are we cool now, or are you going to make more little arrow thingies at me that I have no idea what they mean anyway? And if you weren't directing it at me, then forgive my intrusion and assumption.

I absolutely hate airplanes. I've never been in one, but I had a dream the other day that I was on an airplane, and when I woke up I had a panic attack.
But most of all I hate bugs. Esp. butterflies, they scare me so much that I screamed the other day at a bee

Oh, wow, airplanes! I know what you mean there. The last time I was on a plane was 15-20 years ago, and it was BAD. I drank a LOT (of alcohol)! But I don't know if I'd say I had a phobia of them since I made it through the flight, albeit drunk, but I made it :lol:!

My Phobias is of spiders! I will die if one comes near me. I can't see it on TV a book or nothing. I just think that it will kill me just by looking at it to long.

I really hope this fear goes away even though I know it wont, But I have hope.

Yes, I was being funny with you :lol:! I hope you don't take it badly :)! You would've hated my house in Florida-we had black widows all over our atrium around our pool. I've seen some here where I am now, but not near as many. And a black widow's web is awesomely strong, too! One almost got me when I was putting back together a water hose storage thingie. I had even looked closely in and on it to make sure as I saw a web, but didn't see it until after about the 3rd time I had stuck my hand down in the area where it was. My older son heard it about that one, as he was suppose to have put it back together again long before. If he had, I wouldn't have run into that one. I have a lot of writing spiders up here though. Their webs are so pretty-they look like zippers a lot of times.

ACTUAL phobias I have:
Claustrophibia. I panic when closed in, in crowds, in closets, in small bathrooms, anywhere small and cramped or with lots of people. I even panic if I have the covers in my bed over my face. I feel like I'm suffocating.

Heights. I faint. I have a panic attack and faint.
LOL you can not get me on a plane for ANYTHING. I will scream and ball my eyes out.

People. If I'm around too many people I have anxiety attacks and see black spots and I either have to leave where ever it is I'm at VERY quickly or I drop.
For example, I was at walmart with my friend buying booze and other random things... I couldn't even finish picking out what I wanted because I was hyperventilating and seeing spots.
Happened at hempfest too... I stayed 30 minutes and got "talked to" by the cops for disturbing the peace. Basicly because I was slaming my way through people and clawing my way out of that horrible fucking crowd before I blew chunks all over the place and passed out in it. :]

I'm a fucked up person. :D

Mines is Entomophobia- Fear of insects.
When i see a Huge cockroach I scream as if someone is holding up a gone at me.
I lost control and I feel dirty i don't know why, but just seeying that thing makes me want to jump of a bridge. If I know theres a cockroach in my room and its bed time I wont sleep until my aunt kills it! sometimes she lies and said she killed it :(
I cant stand them, they are pretty much my biggest weakness.
