I actually have never known anyone who was embarrassed by their middle name. o-o The thought's never occurred to me, either. I know people who don't like their name, first or last, but never had a problem with middle names...

Mine's Christine.

I love my whole name and I honestly don't want to change it. xD

I think people are embarrassed by them because parents tend to become more creative with them, so sometimes kids end up with uncommon middle names they're embarrassed about. I don't know why you would be though, it's just a name. It has nothing to do with who you are.

I like my full name though. My middle name is Jean, and I think it works really well with the rest of my name.

My Middle name is Angela. Its like Angel with an added "a" I dont mind it-I do hate it when my mom call me by that. I guess thats why some people dont like because it just reminds them of a time when they were bad...You Know when your parents usually yell your full name when you are in trouble. Ugh it like echos in my head.

Keep in mind when you're unhappy with your name(s) that at least your parents didn't name you "Morgan Morgan." When I was a student recruiter, there was a guy or girl (I never could figure that out) who had that name. Poor bastard. D=

For that matter, names like "Robert Roberts" or "William Williams" are just cruel, too. It's like, "You liked that name so much you felt the need to throw it in there...TWICE?" Haha.

You know what? I think middle names are awesome. I don't know why people don't embrace them more...I mean, I can understand if it's an "embarrassing" name you don't like...but most are just regular names. It's like a second name that you can take up anytime...or an extra nickname! My middle name is Patricia. No one calls me Patricia or Pat or Patty...but I honestly wouldn't mind. I think it'd be kinda fun. Also, I think it's when you are ashamed of your middle name that people tease you about it ;)

My initials spell "Dad" which is kinda funny but weird at the same time. My parents never noticed. My friends call me "Daddy" or "Daddy D" and my friend Ben calls me "Double D" which is an Ed, Edd and Eddy reference. XD
I actually like my middle name and how it goes with my first, and then again the whole initial thing is cool. Therefore, no, I wouldn't change my middle name if I had the chance.

I don't think it's middle names specifically that a lot of people hate, a lot of people hate their first names too. Hmm, actually, nevermind that, I've definitely met more people embarrassed about their middle names than anything else, perhaps because they're sort of the second choice? Not quite good enough to be a first name in the eyes of your parents? xD

I like my middle name; it's Miranda. :) My parents have different stories on how they chose it, I prefer what my dad told me. He said I was named after the character in the Tempest. :D

I wouldn't change my middle name, or my first name, for that matter! I love them both because my parents gave them to me, and they've been with me for fifteen years! I couldn't abandon them like that. ;)

I'm not embarrassed by my middle name, I actually think it's quite pretty. Although, one of my friends has this habit of calling me "Star Spice" because of it since my middle name (Celeste) means star and my first name means palm tree or spice. Yeeaah.

I don’t mind my middle name, Patrice, but my sister HATES hers. I picked it out and it’s Matrice. I was like two I don’t even know WHY my parents took my suggestion. But back to my middle name. Mine is supposedly the female form of Patrick and the reason I got it is because my birthday is St. Patrick’s Day XD

Also my parents never use my middle name when they’re mad at me :/ weird huh? Of cores my parents are very quiet and we all sorta keep to our own little bit of the house.

Patrice and Matrice...Matrice makes me think of "matrices," haha. I like Patrice, though. It's very pretty!

Im not sure if I posted in here yet or not, but here goes.

My middle name is Taylor. According to my parents, they decided to name me after my great grandpa. So honestly, Im not embarased about it. And my first name? Well, some people decide to try and insult me by making fun of it, but to me, the name Owen is good, I know very few people with that name.

I have no idea why people are bothered by their middle name. I love mine, it's Marie. :o I have a buddy who hates his middle na,e. :\

My middle name is Wendell. You don't here that one much anymore! I'm a junior and my grandfather was born in 1895, he died when my Dad was 18 so I never met him but his age probably lends to the antiquated name.

My middle name is Fouche'. It's French and has been passed down. It is my dad's middle name, his dad's middle name, etc. Not sure how far back it goes. I used to get teased for it when I was younger. I don't mind my middle name now, but I don't know if I'll be giving my future child the same middle name. I do get compliments on it now that I am older, lol.

My middle name rhymes with my first name and it's oh so sing-songy, which I do not appreciate... Christine Maureen. I don't really identify with my first or middle name at all. I don't think of myself as a "Christine" or a "Maureen". It's all just so blah. I'm not sure what I would name myself, though.

Also, I think that your name does have power and I think it is natural to keep your middle name private because your first and last names are very public... does that make sense.

P.S. @Imaginative Sarah: I have two adorable white kitties, too! Both of mine have yellow/green eyes. :)
