I can only think of one or two reasons people may not like their middle names. 1) Because if it sounds weird, there's a chance that they will be, or do get mocked, and 2) because it doesn't seem as special as what they wish it could be.
My middle name is Jean. I've grown up thinking it sounds more boyish, even though men and women can both have the name. It may also have something to do with the fact that I grew up around boys. I love my middle name because nobody ever gave me a nickname for my first name, so it gave a bit of definition to myself. I don't think I'd ever change my name, but if I were to be born again with a different name, I think I'd go with Valentina. |
Well they might bother people because sometimes middle names are kinda weird. But it only matters what you first name is. My middle name is Christy. I like my middle name because i have a friend whose name is Christy and I have another friend whose middle name is Christy.

Middle names might bother people because they think their middle names are gross. They don't like the way they sound or something. But I do know some people that would rather go by their middle name because they don't like their first name. I guess it just all depends on what someone thinks of the different names given to them.
My middle name isn't exactly my middle name, I born with just my first and last name. Soon after my mama remembering the one name she wanted to have as my middle name. My "middle" name is known as Mahala. I love my middle name though. :D When I am able to change that to my legal name I will. :P |

I think it's because parents come up with weird shit sometimes for the middle name, or out of the ordinary stuff. I got a pretty run of the mill middle name, so I've got no problems with it. My middle name is more common than my first name, I think. :XD My middle name is Danielle.

I have two middle names, since my parents couldn't agree. x__x
So, I'm stuck with Skye and Michele. My first name's Darian and the three flow together rather well, so I wouldn't change them. |

Hehe, my middle name is Nicole. It doesn't bother me. It's typical, but I don't really care, it's just what I've had all my life and is now a part of who I am.
I think people are bothered by their own middle names more than anyone else's to be honest. Sometimes people have a habit of giving middle names that don't even flow with the rest of the name too, haha. My grandfather refused to give my Mother and her Sister a middle name, he called them completely useless. XD. Which honestly, I can't argue with. I don't see the point of them, really..but I don't see them as horrible either. I wouldn't change my middle name even if I could. :P |
I didn't know last names bothered people 0__o; I've heard of really strange ones that I guess people wouldn't like having but it's not like it inter fears with their lifes- cepy maybe for bullying. : [ My middle names Ann, it's my mom's name. xD I actually know a lot of people with the middle name Ann so I guess it's pretty common. I don't really think much on names so I wouldn't know what to change my last name to if giving the chance. ^^;

My middle name is Nicole. Jessica Nicole. I've never disliked it, I'm mostly just glad it's not Marie, I know at least three people with it. My sister got the short end of the stick, she got Francis.

My middle name is Rose, which is a family name. I am not bothered by it at all but I see why some people do not like their middle name. I actually have a few friends who don't have middle names, which I think is rather intriguing. If I could change my middle name I'm not sure what I'd pick.

My middle name is Scarlett, after Scarlett O'Hara, from "Gone With the Wind". (It was the 50th anniversary of that the year I was born; do the math, people.) I like my middle name, as it's pretty. However, I do get annoyed if my Mom uses it when she's mad at me or something to that affect. Thankfully, my Dad doesn't use it. He calls me by my nickname most of the time.
If I had the chance to change it, I don't think I would. It's unique, and it suits me. Been debating what it would be like if people called me that instead of my first name, but I'm not really sure. (*shrugs shoulders) I don't think I'd change my first name either, as it's already been changed once (when I was born, my parents first named me Reannan, but it was 1989, Fleetwood Mac was big, and my parents HATED Stevie Nix, so they changed it, thank God) and I like my spelling. (It's different than what's here.) |
Yeah my name is Evie Syren Dehaue. I don't have a problem with that, because I think Syren is a beautiful name xD Most of my friends call me Evie or Syren because it sounds exotic xD As far as my parentes go, they don't usually call me by my full name and never have. If I could change it. I wouldn't becuase well, it's awesome so far. xD |
My middle name is Kyle...and I actually prefer it over my first name. I even tried to start going by it one year in high school, but kept forgetting ... so when people called me Kyle, most of the time I paid them no attention thinking they were talking to someone else...XD

My middle name is Maelle. It's cool, I guess. It just adds on to my extremely long name. My first name is Taeladonna. My mum's a fan of old-fashioned names, so guess what I'm stuck with. I guess some people don't like their nicknames because their either embarrassing, or plain. Some people are fine with it, though.

My middle name is Denedra-Gayle, after both my grandmother (on my mother's side) and that grandmother's sister. Most people I know in real life don't even know my middle name, most just calling me "Cierra" or "Cici". If I had the the ability to change my middle name, I definitely would, though I don't know what I'd want to replace it with. xP |

I think people like to nit pick everything about themselves, and middle names are easy targets. They're like the fat toe on the gorgeous girl. Sure, she's the only one who's going to notice it, but it's going to drive her nuts and no one else is going to get it at all. My middle name is Dawn and I love it. I feel like my name tells a story. My first name means a friendly elf or brownie, my middle name means the coming of the sun, and my maiden name means son of Denni. Of course my married last name means brothel, so the story has gotten strange. :P Overall, I like my name and definitely wouldn't change it.

Not a real middle name, yeah. But I'm proud of it, and I always write my full name on things. :D I don't think people should really be embarrassed of their middle names because it's not like it's their fault if they have a weird name, and if anybody makes fun of them for it, then that's a good way of weeding out people who aren't your real friends.
