I don't know why people whould be bothered by them and I know a few people that go by them. Mine is Lynn and I don't find anything wrong with it.

I don't have a middle name, so there were times when I was younger where I felt really awkward as the topic came up. I do have a patronymic, though, which is taken from your (my) father's name, so mine is Dimitrievna (my dad is Dimitry). I've always really liked it, actually, and it's kind of fun having something different to tell people about :)

I think it's because the name may sound funny or something. Like a kid in my graduated class had his middle name was Dawayne or something like that and it rhymed with his first name so he hated it.

My middle name is Marie. It's ok. I don't mind it. but it is rarely used so I hardly remember having a middle name in the first place until I fill out a form or something and then I'm like "oh yeah, I have a middle name" XD

Anastasia is a beautiful name.

My middle name is Deanna. I've never been embarrassed by it. It's a good name. I don't much care for my first name, but I wont be sharing that here.

Mine is Eileen. I like it a lot. My mother picked it out because it is a variation of Helen (I suppose in a round about manner) which is her middle name. My first name and middle name flow really well together, though the first is Hebrew and this is Irish. <3

Well, you know what it is now.

I really like my middle name, it's Paige. I like it so much, that my daughter's middle name is Paige, too! I was named after my grandfather (Ronald Paige), his son is Nathan Paige, and Nathan's son is Alexis Paige. My daughter and i are the first two female Paiges in our family!
I think people are bothered by their middle names because most f them are "dorky" or, in my husband's case, his family called him by his middle name, which he didn't like to begin with, and was made fun of for it.

Middle names aren't that annoying imo. :P I actually go by my middle name. Kathleen.. I'd rather have been named Vera Lynn though. That's what they'd originally planned for me. ^_^

Mine's Starr. For me, it's just a name. It's nothing special, but it's not a negative thing either. :feesh:

My middle name's Peyton...yeah Not the worst but not the best either...better than my brother's Charles or My sister's Taylor...a bit unique I like to think.

My middle name was supposed to be Klear. But my mother wouldn't let my father name me that. He thought it would be cool to name me Krystal Klear Winter. But my mother isn't cool like that, so she said no. So now I am just Krystal Kay Winter, after my father's biological mother, Sharon Kay Moser.

My middle name is Janette, it's pretty much French for Jane, as far as I'm aware. It's not a bad middle name, just nobody can pronounce it. Most people think it's just Janet spelt differently, but no it's actually said je-nett, though French pronounciation of je, not sure how to spell that phonetically.

It's also the reason for the Jae part of CeiJae, my first name is Chrissi.

My middle name is Leigh...and I'm not all that embarrassed about it...and some people can never really learn or remember how to spell it right...lol.

My middle name is common. My whole name is made up of common names! It makes me feel too exposed. How would you like to have your name 'Sam Renee Miller'? It bothers me. Everyone laughs at my middle name. I would rather have it 'Rosilada'. The pronunciation is hard though.

I am okay with my middle name. After all, its not being given too much attention by the other people. hehehe. So it does not bother me at all.

I am beginning to think that middle names are usually names parents either really wanted to name their kid but didn't want their child to be ridiculed for it or it is pretty common, but embarrassed because it was used only when that child got in trouble.

I like my middle name, not embarrassed by it, because without it, my last name wouldn't match up well with my first, and in comparison with my first, it is pretty normal. My middle name is Kristin.

It`s some Indonesian thing.
My mom said she ( my grandma ) gave me that name cuz of the day and time i was born. I don`t like it that much cus nobody knows how to pronounce it.

I have an extremely redneck middle name... Courtney. Like fer serious parents? Courtney? Oh dear... But when I was a kid, I hated my first name so I tried to get everyone to call me by my middle name. When my full name is said, it actually looks kinda gothic... Rowan Courtney... I kinda love it now though
