I'm not embarrassed by my middle name. Though it does bother me a bit because every. single. female. on my dad's side of the family has the same middle name. It's Dawn. The trend stops with me! When I have a child, their middle name will not be Dawn. I was thinking about maybe being a smartass and naming her Dusk, lol. I wouldn't change my middle name, 'cause it's part of me.
I don't understand why people get embarrassed about it. My mother hates her middle name and never tells anyone. It's Elizabeth, which doesn't seem too horrible to me. I also had to bug the crap out of a friend from school to get her to tell me her middle name. Hers is Shirley. She hates hers too. I don't see why it bothers people when they had no choice in it. It shouldn't embarrass them, imo. *shrug* I think it's quite interesting to learn people's middle names and why their parents chose it. ;o |

My middle name is Jayne Catherine - which I don't really like mainly because I find it boring, but it doesn't embarass me. Jayne is my moms name, and then Catherine was my confimation name. I wanted to be Lauren Jayne Patrick, but the bishop wouldn't let me because he said it was a boys name.
I'd still change Catherine to Patrick if I could :lol: |
I actually wouldn't know why people wouldn't like their middle names. Everyone has different tastes I suppose.
My middle name is Machenzie, most people like that name, although I don't particularly know why. To me it's just another middle name, but it's not so bad. At least it's not Gaylord >.>' |
My middle name is Rose.
When I was born, my parent's hadn't picked out a nickname for me, and all the visiting relatives started saying their names/middle names and names of their parent's names, etc. One of my grandmothers quietly said, well my full first name is Mae Rose... And my mom liked the sound of it. :XD I don't mind my middle name at all. |
Mine's Guinevere. I hated it [too girly - I was a tomboy] when I was a kid, but it's all good now...

I think some people just don't like their middle names because a long time ago peple would have really weird middle names for their children such as Edmond and Warren. My middle name is Grace and I love it, it sounds good with the rest of my name. If I had to choose a middle name it would be Starlight I know im weird.

Hmm, Okay my middle name is Miscelle. Personally I love my middle name and I know a lot of people that go by there middle name instead of there first. If I could change my middle name I would just leave it at what it is now. I think... Well I don't know why people don't like there middle name. Might be because it's not something that you hear a lot and so they find it strange?

Elizabeth, and I kind of wish my father had won the fabled naming war sometimes - there were way too many girls my age with my first name; being an Elizabeth would have at least been something different.
On the other hand, what if being differently named changed my outlook on things entirely and made me someone else? Maybe I'm better off keeping my current name. >.> |
Mine is Lynn, I really like it. My parents middle names were both Lee, so I'm glad that they didn't give me Lee as well.

My middle name is Ilana. I love my middle name because it's not the way my name is traditionally spelled (I believe it's normally spelled Elana) and I think it's a lot better than Ida who my middle name was chosen for.

I can understand why some people are embarassed by their middle names, but overall? I can't understand why some people get embarassed. My middle name is Helene~ I actually like it. (And I didn't know it was the name of my great, great grandmother until last year D: )

Mine's the first name of both of my grandmothers. My middle name is Margaret. My dad's mom's first name is Margaret, and my mom's mom's first name is Margaret. They're all spelled the same, too. It's very strange. I don't like telling people my middle name, though. Especially after I told one of my friends what it was over the phone, and she literally wouldn't stop laughing for about ten minutes. I'm not even exagerating, either.... It was funny. Ha ha ha. Not. :sarcasm:

I guess its just one of them things, some people prefer to not give out their middle name.
Mine is Michelle and I like my middle name a lot. My mother gave it to me, and its special to me. I just hated it when my mom would call out my full name when she was pissed off. o.e |

*shrug* I don't love it or hate it, I'm just kind of indifferent about it. The only reason I don't like hearing it is because when you hear whole first-middle-last name, you know you're in trouble! XD |
Mine are Elizabeth and Lynn. I use to spell it "Elizabecdeth" when I was younger. I went all out with that alphabet.

its weird but i got from my grandma and grandpa... i used to have only one but due to some mistakes over my birth certificate.. i end up having two middle names |
