Hmm. My middle name is Aysha. Until I was about 14 I spelt it wrong as 'Aisha' as opposed to the former. I believe I was named after my grandma, but I'm not quite sure to be entirely honest... xD I don't really know why people get embaressed over them. Maybe it's because a lot of middle names are named after people from previous generations and they're considered out of date? Or perhaps they don't really flow as well with the first name... Who knows eh? :angel:

Okay, for those who haven't heard people are going to have to guess my middle name.
Here's the clues: Clue #1. My middle name starts with the letter A Clue #2. My middle name ends with the letter E Clue #3. My middle name is unconventional and really, really hard to guess ----- There they are and I even was kind and added another clue! Please guess! |

Mine is Ann and it never embarassed me. And not everyone is embrassed by their middle names, My mother-in-law used her middle name instead of her first name by choice since she preferred Fay to Dossa and I really can't blame her.
I am afraid that my boys are embarassed by their middle nameS and I capitalized thet on purpose to emphasis the fact that both of them have two middle names. My oldest's are Bertram Johann, the first was my father;s name and the second was the first of my husbands family to come to America back when New York was still New Amsterdam. My youngest's are Albert Luician, the first was my favorite uncle and the second was my uncle that was killed during World War 2, both were my father's brothers the youngest and oldest respectively. |
My middle name is Marie, it's a family thing on my moms side, there's one female in every generation with that middle name. It's nothing too horrible, nor too exciting. For the most part, I ignore it.

Mine is Alice, which is alright. My friend has an awesome middle name Orlagh pronounced Or-la, she's Irish. All her family have cool names.

My middle name's Snowden, which I've always thought is super awesome XD It would be worse...my brother's is Evergreen, wtf.
People always think Snowden's cool...so I like people finding out about it, though I don't really tell people arbitrarily. |

My middle name is Jeannette. Named after my aunt. When Mom asked her about naming me after her, she told her she better not! She did anyway, and I act like her. Some days when we are talking about something, she would say you act just like your aunt. I should have never named you after her. I find it amusing, and not a bad thing. I wouldn't change it. It goes good with my first name, and it wouldn't be amusing at times. |

My middle name is Leigh. I've never really had a problem with it or really liked it either. It's not that important to me.
But I think that some people are embarrased by their middle name because it's either really unusual, really common, or it's easy to twist into a tease or taunt. But mainly because they probably had some sort of uncomfortable experience with their middle name and an outside party or they saw someone else have a problem with their middle name. I know that I went through a phase in High school where I was embarrased by my middle name just that's what I'd seen a lot of other people do and I figured I was the odd man out. |
I am a daycare teacher so I've meat a lot of children through the years with lots of very different names! I've noticed that a lot of parents tend to be very unqiue or crazy with middle names. We ALL have those 'favorite' names we love but feel our child might not appreciate it as their name as they get older so we put them as middle names. Middle names are also a way to honor other family members. (I personally don't agree with naming kids after dead people...first names are suppose to be special its YOUR name not your great-grandmother's...but middle names are cool).
My middle name is taken from my mother's. Lyn...unique in the way that it contains only one 'n' where my mother's is Lynn. I like my middle name, very short! |
