My name is Leah, which mainly means weary or tired in Hebrew. It's not the most pleasant name, but I do believe it fits me, sadly. >.>

My first name is Leah, which means "weary." It was also the first name of the woman who married Jacob, when he wanted to marry another woman, Rebecca (in the Bible, in case you didn't know). When I found this out, I was kind of pissed at my parents; I was all, "You named me after a conniving slut?" was basically my mindset. But then my mom was all, "No, we didn't; we just thought Leah was a pretty name," and that mollified me a bit, though that's not QUITE what I remember her telling me when she first told me why she and my dad named me that. But whatever. I am not a slut and my parents love me, so I guess it doesn't really matter. XD

"Weary" is quite fitting, though... I'm almost always tired. :\ Coffee is my savior, second only to Jesus. It's kind of sad that I'm not really kidding about that; more often than not, coffee is the only thing that can wake me up in the morning.

Actually in the bible Leah and Rebecca's father forces Leah to marry Jacob so jacob would have to work for their father another 7 years so he could marry rebecca. I hate that i am named after Leah also, not for ur reason, but becuz she was used to trick and decieve someone against her will. It kinda has a weakening affect on me but pushes me to make sure i am not used.
We also have an 80's song named after us look it up its call Ah, Leah by Donnie Iris. I love the song. I listen to it when i get ready for dates :P

My name's Geneva. As far as I'm aware it means "woman" or "white lady". More recently the name is associated with peace. I'm also told it can mean "juniper" and "white wave". I got the name because my parents thought it was funny that they could fuse both of their names. G from Greg, and Neva from Nevatte. Thus- you have me. ^_^ (I've had to find the meanings before so it's all previous knowledge now lol)

As for my last name...that's a little harder. Willis is, supposedly, a "helm" or "protector" when assumed it comes from the name William or Will. Buuuut- it could also just mean somewhere along the lines someone was "the son of William. So I really have no idea. XD

The planet Mercury represents Wednesday, well it's astrological sign does.
It was referred to as Dies Mercurii by the Romans, there are similarities in Romance (Latin based) languages, for example the Spanish use the word "Miércoles" and the French use "Mercredi" You can see the resemblance in the spellings to the word Mercury itself.

Also, Wednesday has references to Norse mythology, it means "Woden's Day" Woden is another name for Odin, the utmost powerful of the Norse gods.

I think that's pretty cool.

My real name is Danielle, although plenty of folks call me "Dani". "Danielle" is the French feminine form of "Daniel" which is Hebrew for "God is my Judge". I'm not a religious person, it's just what my parents picked.

my name is Lindsay and it means "from the linden tree island". apparently it's old English. actually, a little while ago I kinda tried to figure out exactly what that meaning referred to so I looked up islands near England that are covered in linden trees (thought that'd be the most direct approach). and i found out that the Isle of Man fit the description pretty good, so...i guess i could say that my name means "from the Isle of Man". i think i like that better...

Timothy comes from the Greek "Timotheos", meaning "one who honours God", coming from "Timao", to honour, and "Theos", God.

My name is Janice, which is some variant of Jane.. I think the brief hebrew translation goes along the lines of "God is gracious/merciful" or even "Gift from God". I'm not sure though since every name site says something else D:

My first name is:

Quote:
KELSEY

Gender: Feminine & Masculine

Usage: English

Pronounced: KEL-see [key]
From an English surname which is of disputed meaning. It could be derived from the Old English given name Ceolsige meaning "ship victory". Alternatively it could be from a place name meaning "Cenel's island", from the Old English name Cenel "fierce" in combination with eg "island".
