What are the coolest Halloween costumes ever?

I think arguably one of the best is the witch there are so many different takes on it. You could see 23 different witch costumes just in one store.

My friend used to always dress up as a pumpkin for her parties when we were little. She wore such a cute padded suit, it was amazing!

One of my friends went as a stick figure for halloween. It was pretty awesome. She dressed in all black and used glow sticks and taped them onto her clothes in a stick figure pattern. It was so funny to see her walk down the street since her legs didn't look like the bent at all.

But two of my friends are going as Billy Mays and the Shamwow guy this year.

I am probably going to halloween this year as a more gothic version of Little Red Riding Hood. (lol :P)

I agree that witch costumes are awesome, though. I get my costumes from Costume Express though, and I just happen to be very modest... Therefore, I prefer not wearing costumes with really short skirts. And, most of the witch costumes from Costume Express have VERY short skirts. ^_^;

I, personally, think that the best costumes are whatever you and your friends enjoy at the time. If it leaves a good Haloween memory, then it's a great costume. This year, I'm making Harley Quinn's outfi from Arkham Asylum and I'll go as her. =3

I think the best couple-themed Halloween costumes are Steve and Terri Irwin. My fiance and I are going as them this year, and we're dressing our puppies up as crocodiles. :boogie:

Anything original, that can't be found in a store selling costumes. Those kinds are the absolute best.

I had a really cool Victorian-esque Mad Hatter costume last year.
This year, I think I'm going to be a skelelton.

I don't have a costume that I would call the best. I think any costume you are comfortable in and like is great. I hate it when people get all up tight because they have to have the "best costume ever". Halloween is meant to be fun, choose something you like and won't make you feel awkward wearing.

The past 4 years I've made my costumes by hand - cosplays really. But I loved wearing them. I'm going to be Karigan Galadheon from the book Green Rider this year. I'm almost done putting everything together

The Witch is a classic, but I'm leaning more t'words the Fairy costume as the best, specially if they're more fae then Tinkerbell.

I like 'old school' Halloween when your mom would stick some pots and pans to you and you went as a robot or she'd get an old sheet, cut some holes in it and you'd be a ghost. Nowadays everyone buys those really professional costumes from those big Halloween stores and Halloween seems to lose some of it's magic to me. To me it's not about who looks to the best or who spent more on their costume, it's about free candy and having fun with your friends and family!
I still make all my costumes although most years I kinda forget about a costume til 3 days before so I go as something that doesn't really require a costume like a teacher. I work with kids so as long as I put some glitter on and do face painting they don't care what I'm wearing xD This year I'm going as a tree, I'm gonna spray my hippie 'fro green, wear some brown clothes, and stick some construction paper leaves to myself :3 It's kinda simple but at least I gave it some thought this year

Last year one of the kids at my school went as an iPod xD Kids are so creative these days, I can't wait to see what they come up with this year ^^

I used to always go as a black cat, but I put a spin on it last year and went as a cat demon. that was the best!! I broke my cat ears though so I can't go as that anymore.

Best costume ever? I'd have to say the classic vampire. It's inexpensive, practical, and easy to pull together at the last minute without looking too rushed ^^

However, this year my fiance and I are going to be going as Light and L from deathnote (yes, I'll be crossdressing as L). I'm going to handcuff him to me and everything! I'm hosting a Death Note themed party for the evening. We have a friend coming as Misa, Beyond Birthday, and another undecided one. I'm going to dress my dog up like Matsuda. It'll be crazy fun ^^

I know someone who said that when their child was nine they decided to go as a roadkill cat. Yes you read that correctly a roadkill cat.

I personally think the best costumes are anything you could find at an anime convention. I think that going as Roxas is an awesome idea.... Roxas :squee: :glomp:
Ehehehehehe............/////........./////

I plan on going as a japanese girl who has a background in martial arts. I have the yukata and I need to make the obi. Todau I bought these really cool weapons. They are three stainless steel hair sticks with the only sharp edge being the bottom (ie the tip that you stick into your hair) and I need ti get a nice staff or weapons grade fan to complete the outfit........oh and some tabi and geta....... I almost forgot those :sweatdrop:

I will have an awesome costume!!! I don't care if it is the abosulute most awesomest costume ever. I think that out of the costumes I've had this one will rank in first place tied with my belly dancer outfit (the top was too small in the front and we had to add a piece of fabric in order to keep ne decent. My mom actually sugguested that we make the top one that would tie in the front! I now regret turning down that offer.......) Which was pretty sweet.

I think the best costumes are original cosplays. As in... A cosplay that has its own twist to it.

:boogie: I think this year I'm going to make a classic Team Rocket grunt outfit from the old Pokemon games. XD I think I'll spoof it out a little though. Maybe add a few different accessories and such. >w< I've been contemplating attaching my Duskull plushie to my shoulder for the night so it looks like it's riding. XD I'm stoked.

Not too sure what's the coolest. But I saw this one online and it looked pretty awesome. XD It was a costume that someone did of Lion-o.
I think what made it most amusing though was that it was done in an Office.

My favorite costume is from when I was little. My mom turned me into a pumpkin.

I wore that costume for years and years, until i was finally too big.

Bless his heart, such a great man. Did so much for the environment. Never got to see him in real life.

On topic, since i dont do halloween my costumes might be a bit.. out-there and tri-hard.. I would go as Sakura from card captors, Magenta from Rocky Horror Picture Show or Sailor Jupiter.

I've never celebrated Halloween because I live in Australia - but I imagine period (Edwardian, Elizabethan, etc.) costumes would be my favorite, they are simply stunning.

This year I am going clubbing in some Goth-Loli gear. Yeah! It's gonna be great!

Next year, I'm dressing up Protomen style, so sliver face paint, red bandanas, black jeans, militia style jackets, cowboy boots. Maybe I'll make a Protoman helmet.

(Protomen are a band, which perform a kickass rock opera based from Megaman, you guys should really check them out, I just saw them live last friday, AMAZING!)
