Advice about a Roommate?

(this should probably being in the advice forum, but I'll answer)

My advice is just to get another room mate. And compromise isn't about changing, you just have be a bit more lenient. I like to go to bed at 10, my room mate likes to stay up late. We compromised by saying lights had to be out, but she could leave her lamp on. No biggie.

Also she'd have more people to talk to if she'd leave her little world, so that's why she only has you. And if she plans to stay immature, then you can't really do anything other than just get a new room mate. I'm surprised you stayed with her that long. I'd like to get different ones just to meet new people ;)

The only thing I can think of for if you really want to stay with this girl is to force her to listen to you. Threaten to leave if she doesn't change. If she really needs you like she says, she'll change her ways, if not, then she's just using you so she doesn't have to get stuck with someone else who might not be as nice as you.
