Here's the article: http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/151779

Now I really have seen everything O_o Seriously, paint that stops your wi-fi signal from being used by people you don't want. That's kind of crazy. The pain really scares me though. Your basically putting metal all over your walls. I can't seem to think that is healthy for people or the environment :/ Wi-fi distributes need to just come up with a way to lock other people out of using internet that isn't theirs or be able to keep the signal within a certain radius (like just your house).

And I can see this paint getting used for some really down right bad things too :/

What are your thoughts and views on this new paint?

That can actually be very handy, though! I wouldn't want to use it myself, of course, but I like the point that they brought up about movie theaters being able to use this paint legally to stop incoming calls. This thing will come in handy!

I like that idea. xD No more annoying people who leave their phones on during movies. Ah Technology. It makes the world a more peaceful place. At least, this kind of technology does. =3

I saw that last night. I wouldn't bother with something like that. Because while you're keeping other people from stealing your internet, you're also keeping yourself from stealing other people's internet. XD Yes, I admit it, I have stolen wifi. I have my own and that is what I use but there are times when the internet goes down for whatever reason and then I go and use someone else's for a bit. Also if I go away from home and need internet and there is some there I will use that too. I also let my neighbor use my internet when she needs to. And while I don't do this often, sometimes it is nice to be able to sit outside and use the internet. So I don't think I'd ever want to use that paint, I'll just stick with passwords.

Wouldn't it just be cheaper and easier to just make your network secure.

Seems like an idea for a slow mass murder.

two biggest problems i see, first the most important, the environment and peoples health. and secondly what if i go into someones home and i cant get cell signal and there is an emergency? No one would be able to contact me.

Why not just put a password on your wireless network...?
Thats what we've done.

The same effect can be done cheaper by just making the wi-fi secure. Seriously people, no need to go and slowly poison yourself!

I think it's dumb since you can put a password on networks. Plus as some one mentioned, if you need to make an emergency call and your only phone is a cell phone then you're screwed. I mean some people, like me, don't have a land line.
