The neighbors behind my house have gotton two chickens and one rooster, and oh my god the rooster is annoying! It's like living in a farm, except...not actually in one? xD

And their chickens keep running away, and they never do anything about it until we pester them enough to get them.

I don't get why they need them, you can always get eggs from the store? Unless they're breeding them, then...I'm moving!

You guys ever had neighbors who just get under your skin? Or some weird things they do that you just can't stand?

@Twistedhalo: I think your neighbors are going to breed them, because otherwise they wouldn't need a rooster. :sweat:

True, or they probably wanted an alarm clock, and didn't want a digital one cause it runs on electricity and they wanted to prevent global warming? That's a possibility xD

Oh my!! yes i have had very annoying neighbors. the people that live across the hall right now, we live in an apartment building, go in and out of their apartment all night. and they yell and scream at each other. they wake up my three year old a lot. i havent said anything to them yet.
when i lived with my mom and dad we had a neighbor who butchered a pig in their backyard, and left the intestines hanging on the fence!!:insane:

I totally would want a few chickens if I lived in the country. I think they're cute.

But if I lived close to other people, I would be more considerate and at least keep them in a secure enclosure
And I definitely wouldn't keep a rooster. o.O;;

Siri - Yeah, if it's out in the country, I'd be okay with it, but not in like a neighborhood, it's a bit strange, and a lot of people are annoyed when the rooster calls, its not a pretty sound, trust me xD

at home the old lady behind us always stares creepily at us when we climb the tree that is totally in our yard but its right up against our back dividing fence thing, but still... she's creepy
and here at college in the dorm room right next to mine there's this girl who always sings really loudly and badly and i can hear her through the walls xP

hahaha yeah it was gross!!! now that i think about it, they kept chickens too. i think the city finally got after them and they moved.

Real eggs from real chickens are...mmm! You'll just have to get your own chicken after you get a real egg, man.

And yes, I have a lot of annoying neighbors---well, at my old neighborhood. There was this one guy who would smoke outside, and my parents eventually asked that he smoke someplace else since he'd leave his cigarette butts all over our yard. Just so happens that the week after, there are cigarette burns etched into the paint of my dad's pickup.

It was not cool.

There's this Vietnamese family that lives right next door, and they always have parties. Not like everyday, but usually on holidays or if there's a birthday or for the heck of it.

They invite a lot of people, and the friends park really badly, where they almost block our driveway since we're in a cul-de-sac. Yeah but it get's really worse when they start drinking and decide to do karaoke.

They sing so bad, and it's mostly the men who do that, and they talk really loud too.

Plus, they all smoke in the backyard, so you can't even open the windows for fresh air.

It's not really neighbours, but I live right beside a trail that leads to a bus stop, and sometimes, at like, 3am, drunkards come wobbling up the path and completly screaming and shouting, and it's horrible. The worst was probably in the middle of the day, come guy was having an out-and-out scream fight with someone on his cell phone, but you could here the swearing for about a block.

Lol wow I would go crazy, I would maybe even complain to the neighbors.

My neighbors a also annoying and they talk to much. I understand that were new in this block but doesn't mean they have to be so noisy. But I guess in time that would stop sooner or later.

My old neighbor used to hit on my mom all the time. ... Disturbed me since I was young and hardly understood what was going on.

OMG I have horrible neighbors!!! I live in a four-plex apartment building, so I'm in close personal contact with most of them on the regular. The people below me are nice enough, but they have a dog that barks a lot and a potbellied pig that squeals a lot.

The guy across the hall from them is 30-something and is trying to be cool by hanging out with the rest of the neighbors who are in their early 20s.

Then the couple across the hall from me... Ugh. They're young, married and stupid. He plays obnoxious music REALLY loudly and it drives me crazy. Not only that, but they fight on the regular, which has become an annoyance, as it's usually in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep.

They also have a pitbull, who barks constantly, and a cat they leave out on the porch to fend for itself most of the time. :/ They're horrible pet owners. I've been tempted to call animal control before, since they left their dog on the porch an entire weekend while they were gone, allowing him to piss and shit right there on the porch. Poor thing had to sleep in a corner so it didn't have to lay in its own excrement. :(

Just the other night someone in the building behind ours called the cops on them because they were screaming at each other (well, he was screaming at her) and the people thought there was some domestic violence going on (which there wasn't). This has happened several times now, and though there's never any physical violence, I think verbal abuse is just as bad.

They suck. I wish they'd move out.

I called the police.
In that situation I'd also call animal control. Animal abuse is a crime that is punishable by law in the states. If it's bad enough they'll just remove the animals and adopt them out - permission of the owners or not - and reserve the right to press charges.

Yeah, I'm tempted to call animal control next time something like that happens. I haven't seen it since, so no use calling when there's no evidence...

I'm going to start by saying I'm not a racist... >< Cuz I don't want any one to be offended by this... ok well... the people next door to us are Asian. That's not why they are annoying... It's a lot of things. When they first moved in they decided to paint the brown house bright blue (like the color of a swimming pool) so the house is a bright eyesore.. and when they were painting they got paint all over our bushed and drive way. Then one day they started cutting down our bushes, they were along the side of the drive way, between the two houses but on our side of the property line.. and they cut them down. When my dad went out to yell at them they yelled back in another language and kept going. Eventually he got them to stop >< but then the next day they started again. We had to put a metal cage around the big rose bush so they couldn't get it as well. With the bushes down they then started walking down our drive way to get to their yard >< as well as planting vegetables and stuff on the area next to their house where the bushes had been... which is our property as well. Now one of their squash plants is growing over our rose bush, have to go out every day and pull the vines off so that it won't choke out our roses. My dad made a fence with twine between the properties and they started complaining that they couldn't get to their plants and he was like hey this is our property we can do what we want on it. They are loud, they have music playing all night, one of the guys makes really weird sounds in the morning... I think he's gargling or something... >< when they cook it some times smells really bad and in the winter they don't shovel their walk... they clear the driveway and then from the back door to the cars so you have to walk in the street to get around the snow. They are the worst neighbors ever ... and the worst part is they don't speak English so we don't know if they understand what's wrong.

My neighboors are annoying too. We live in a townhome so we share a wall, and they are often playing some sort of heavy rock that we can hear through teh wall. I hear them right now. And they do this at night too! In the bathroom, the vibration makes somethign shake ever so slightly to make a really annoying vibration.....It just gets really annoying, especially it seems like they often have guests over so they do that. And they are kinda loud when they are eating and drinking on their porch which is right by our dining room window....

Oh wow..I live on a street with a lot of little kids so every now and then a few of them will run up and down the street screaming for no reason. And the the two teenagers across the street from me like to play lacrose and they always hit our house with their balls!

Annoying neighbors are really the worse.

My family and I are currently dealing with some new neighbors, and relations are not going well.

First, we live in the country, and our neighbor's property is south of us (behind our house), and he needs to use our road to get there. No problem. He has the right to use it.

However, he also tried to claim he could cut down the trees alongside the road whenever he wanted, as well as pave the little road. He's not allowed to pave the road without our permission, and he can only cut down the trees in such a way that no other tress or any other part of our property is damaged.

Then one day he tried bringing a gazebo to his property, got stuck, and cut down two trees without our permission and without doing it properly, taking down over a half dozen other trees in the process.

We're not the only neighbors angry at him either. He has also blocked access to the south side of another neighbor's property, is using excavating equipment on the creek so he'd have walking access (not legal without the right permits), and once ran over our garbage can enclosure and a garbage can one night without cleaning his mess or saying anything to us.

The idiot needs to realize he could be heading for a court if he keeps this up.
