Yes, my New Year's resolution is to find a way to take a vacation from my house/life/all the things that stress me out.

Me, i dont make New Years resolutions, because to me it always seems like people make promises on New Years Eve, break them a few days into January, then feel horrible that they couldn't "hold out." They might make the resolutions again, but it just isnt as "special" that time around cuz it's Jan 5th or whatever.
So thats why I just make resolutions, all throughout the year. So I dont beat myself up on January 2nd, feeling as if I "missed my chance" at whatever it was I wanted to change.

I usually don't make resolutions, because that implies that I've something to change in my life. And I don't. I like how my life is. I don't need to find a boyfriend, I don't need to go on a diet, I don't need to do this or do that. I'm happy right now, so why should I change things.

I was actually thinking of this last night. My early New Year's resolution is to eat healthier. Not for my weight, that's not an issue...but for my TEETH. Sounds crazy I know. But I have a huge sweet tooth and my teeth are paying for it. I did it once a while ago and stuck to it for over a year. I quit drinking soda completely, quit eating a ton of sugary foods, etc. And like my dentist said, my teeth stopped hurting when I did eat something sweet.
The problem is, I've become so busy and flat out lazy that I quit those habits and now my teeth are hurting again when I eat sweet food and one cracked the other night! Oh no am I losing my teeth...so as of today no more soda for me.
I figure if I do my New Year's resolution now than by January 1st it'll be habit for me once again and I can congratulate myself for already making it that far. :)

@Tayee: my sweet tooth is the reason i'm so paranoid about brushing my teeth and using mouthwash every other day
if i had to make a resolution it would be for me to try to remember dates more. i'm horrible at remembering things that people tell me and i always plan two things on the same day and i have to cancel one and it kills me to do that. SO! i'm going to try to remember what people tell me. hopefully it works ^.^

I was hoping to get my permit and start working on getting a driver's license. But, I keep getting distracted by homework, people, family issues, ect ect.
Other than that. I kind of wanted to join some sort of gymnastics class or learn Violin.

I'm not really a resolution-making person. not b/c i don't stick to them but b/c i usually just can't think of anything to make a resolution about. However, this year, I think I'd like to make a resolution that I will buckle down and graduate from my school by June of 2010. We'll just see how that goes.

I want to read 52 books that I've never read before in 2010. I'll also probably resolve to eat significantly less meat, although that resolution starts right now, really. I might resolve to crochet something at least once a month and practice juggling (both toss juggling and contact juggling) every day. I picked both crochet and juggling up this year and I've been severely neglecting practicing either, so maybe a New Year's resolution is the extra push I need to stop procrastinating on those things.
I don't really see making resolutions throughout the year as a reason to forgoe New Year's resolutions. In my opinion, making resolutions throughout the year doesn't mean you should decide against making them in January, simply because it's the New Year. I don't make resolutions if I don't have anything to resolve, but if I have something to resolve I think January 1st is as good a time to start as any, and it makes timing my progress absurdly easy.

i don't really make resolutions, but i guess mine would be to get my manga finished and published, then work on the next manga i have planned. i have such a short attention span that it's hard to concentrate on just one manga at once, so i have to force myself.

A little early to be planning new year is it not?
Anyway I don't make resolutions, I mean I can never keep to them anyway so whats the point, plus they are so cliched, I mean everyone goes "ooh I will stop smoking" or "I'm going to lose a few pounds"
So If I were I suppose it would either be something really easy that I could keep to no bother like "I won't eat cellery" or "I will sleep every day"
Or something totally out there like "I am going to kidnapp a super clever kid and make them do my taxes"

I actually don't have one at the moment, usually it's to become better at whatever three hobbies I'm balancing. I doubt it'll change.
