I like persian cats, they are so sweet and fluffy xD

frogmasterofthefunk 10-17-2009 01:32 PM

I like Russian Blues and Egyptian Maus.

Angelic Bunny 10-17-2009 01:34 PM

darkangeleyes, your cats are so cute! ^^
I should really try to upload a photo of my cat, but whenever I try to photograph her she starts squinting. This kind of ruins the whole photo since one of her most interesting features is her large blue eyes. :yumehkitty: (I just noticed the kitty smiley! :o)

Siamese are really cute. :D
I was actually going to get a siamese cat, but then we decided to get a Ragdoll.

~~~
I really like all cat breeds, however I'm not a big fan of the Devon Rex breed...
My cat, a ragdoll, is technically supposed to be very loose and "floppy". xD
However, my cat isn't "floppy" in any way.
She's a very hyper and active kitty who has loved to play ever since I got her.
She also doesn't enjoy being held, which is something the breed itself tends to be known for.
I had a Ragdoll named Sagwa, she is now my mother's cat, I have to give her away to my mom since I was moving to Hawai'i and she wouldn't do well in quarantine. My Ragdoll was extremely floppy and love attention, but as for being held, not so much but she will go limp in your arms. She is now 6 yrs old. I currently have a Domestic Shorthair (with long hair...don't ask lol) His name is Hercules and he is from Hawai'i. I would love to own a Scottish Fold and/or a Munchin one day myself. I love cats as well and collect cat figures, but I have been slacking lately.
Thank you!
Aww, my cats sort've "pose" for the camera. So, it's kinda easy to get pictures.
I love cats with blue eyes, so if you could I would like to see a picture ;)
(The kitty smiling? Are you talking about the second picture? (Peanut) :P
Bengals! but i have one female seven pound tabby. Her name is red. one female mackerel tabby that is eighteen pounds now. she was twenty eight when we got her. Her name is Jackson. I did not name her lol. The third cat i have is a male black domestic short hair. he is about nine pounds and his eyes change colors. bright green to yellow now. They use to be orange at one time. His name is Spooky. I love them all :) As soon as I come home i have all three of them around me and following me every where. Chad calls them my groupies. lol
:)
They're curly looking. XD
K0a 10-17-2009 07:09 PM
Pure Siamese.
They are independent and I own one. She's my baby and around 5 yrs old. :)
My ex-boyfriend came over and was like "Why can't you baby me like that?!" because I love my kitty more than anything in the world. lol.
I like how siamese cats are possessive and body-guard styled.
That's hard. I tend to love cats regardless of breeds, but my favorites are:
Turkish Angoras
Maine Coons (I have two :] )
Orange Tabbies (I have two :] )
Egyptian Mauls
American Polydactyl ( I have one :] )
Bengals
Tonkinese
Turkish Van
:]
I'm not a fan of purebreds, but if that was all I had to choose from I'd get a bengal or burmese.
My fiance likes persians because he gets a kick out of their silly squished faces.
My kitties are mutts. One is a russian blue and american shorthair mix (I wish she was british instead, she'd look like happycat then lol). The other is an oriental and american shorthair mix. They've probably got other mixes in them as well, but those are the most obvious.
Hebe is the russian blue mix, Hermes is the white and grey oriental mix.
Hermes doesn't really look oriental to most people since his coat isn't a typical oriental pattern, but his skeletal structure and skull shape have oriental written all over them. He's also extremely chatty, which I'm told is a typical characteristic of an oriental breed. I think he's about two generations away from a purebred oriental though.
People are showing off their cats, I want to too. These are my cats & Double S cats.
All my cats are from the street. We found them as kittens, except the all black one. We took him from someone who wasn't a good owner. So I honestly have no idea what most of my cats breeds are.
WHO ELSE LUVS SIAMESE CATS??? <33
Tsukipon 10-17-2009 09:27 PM
I do! I just never had one. I don't buy cats. I rescue them from the street!
Thoth Star 10-17-2009 09:29 PM
You're soo nice tsukipon~ I've NEVER rescued a cat before... is it very fulfilling?? Maybe I should go to the Pound today and save a few lives! hehehe. <33 I have enough cash to afford hundreds of cats n dogs if I wanted too but I don't have the time to take care of em...;___;
Tsukipon 10-17-2009 09:54 PM
If I was a millionaire with a mansion, IT WOULD BE FILLED WITH CATS!!!
Honestly, it is very fulfilling. The downside is, everytime I see a stray cat, I want to take it in. I can only feed it but I know it will still starve later and be cold during the winter or rainy days.
I don't think people who buy cats are terrible people either. The cats that aren't bought are usually sent to pounds anyway.
Featherbrook 10-17-2009 10:50 PM
Oriental shorthairs and Maine coons. Orientals, because they're one of the most hyper and affectionate breeds, and Maine coons because, well, they're fat and fluffy. xD
Keyori 10-18-2009 04:15 AM
Tsukipon: We should start a kitty mansion together xD
I only like to take in cats from humane societies. I like knowing that my money will go to support animals until they find homes, and not to pad the pockets of a privately-run pound, a breeder, or a pet shop that takes in animals from mills.
I'm usually hesitant about street cats because I can't cope with a cat that didn't have a compatible personality. I'm also very strict with my kitties staying indoors only (no AIDS or leukemia for my kittehs!), and I know it would be very difficult to keep a cat inside that's had a taste of the indoors.
Both of my cats were taken from the same humane society. Hebe's mother was rescued and she was born in the society (at a foster home actually) and Hermes' litter was taken off of the street at a very young age. I really wanted to take one of the AIDS cats home, but at the time they were all battling ringworm and weren't suitable for adoption.
When I get settled after I'm out of school, I'm definitely going to foster as soon as I am able.
If I own a lot of land, I'd also like to register as a sanctuary for feral T&R cats.
