Have you ever been so tired that you can't sleep?
I feel extremely exhausted, and I'm mixing up information and rps, not realizing it until I send the stuff or someone yells at me for the mistake...but I've tried sleeping and can't. I just tossed and turned and got all wrapped up in my blanket...:(
|
that's happened to me before. in fact, that happened last night. i had to get up around 4 in the morning, and went back to bed about 4:30. i was very VERY tired, but i just couldn't get to sleep. it was at least an hour before i did. i think my mind was just too active to sleep. i really hate it when that happens. it often happens when i have to go somewhere the next day.

I've had that happen to me. I had to take this test once and I was so stressed out because the test was gonna be like 90% of my final grade for the class and I was wiggin' out!I stayed up all night and then when I finally got to class, I did the test, aced it, and then fell asleep.

lol yeah, only thing I have to do tomorrow is go to work..which I hate doing. Thankfully it's only once every two weeks, most of the time.
|
I have chronic insomnia so I generally don't get to sleep till 12:00 am, that's my only reason sorry it isn't more interesting..
|
I've always had insomnia. Ever since I was knee-high to a grasshopper.
One thing I've learned how to do is meditate. Ultimately, clearing your mind and relaxing help sleep come rather quickly. It takes a lot of practice, patience, and perseverance, but I can personally say it's paid off. :) Something else to try is an all natural herbal supplement. I'd recommend melatonin. I personally can't use the stuff anymore because my body became acclimated to it after years and years of use. |
YES!! I happens every time I'm nervous about something the next day. No matter how tired I am, I will keep tossing and turning.. I hate it. :(
Does anyone get that feeling of cold sweat and suffocation in the middle of the night? It feels like my blanket is strangling me// I have to get up, and pace the room a few times.. >_> |
This happens to me all the time. I usually end up crying in bed until I pass out. I wake up and feel very sickly and stay in bed all day. It is a horrible state to be in.
|
I have that happen almost every night, try having a child, a boyfriend who is never there and doesn't understand, and then piling on the fact that your still young and haven't had as much fun as you could have had. Grr not to mention that the babies dad can go out and do what ever he wants because he has it harder than I do >_<
I've tried meditating but I can't seem to find time, nor can I find a comfortable place to do it in. I've got so may problems it unreal, so I usually end up crying myself to sleep, but I can't cry loud because my baby stays in the same little room as me.... Well there is one good thing that can come from all of this, saying screw the babies dad and helping myself while he pays child support. (if he pays it because its been three months and I haven't gotten a penny) Some people never change, and apparently they can't see whats in front of them until one day they wake up and its gone... |
I do, but on the very rare occasion. It tends to be when i'm suffering with a cold or some other disease.
Last December time though, i had really bad insomnia, which i put down to Seasonal Affect Disorder. I couldn't sleep for days on end, at all. Me being the kind of person that gets very fustrated when i can't sleep, it all made for a very stressful three weeks. I was literally a walking zombie. I could hardley speak, my vision was fuzzy, and i couldn't comprehend anything being said. My brain physically hurt. Not a good time. I just hope it doesn't return this year. |
I've had that before... I think your body gets so restless that it can't wind down. Something I've come to realize really does help is take a warm bath, NOT a shower- that'll wake you up. But a warm bath and drink a cup of Chamomile tea it really soothes me. However if this is something common I'd seek a doctor. Though all of us sometimes suffer from insomnia. I know I do when I have a big event the next day; like tomorrow... I'm sure I won't get much sleep tonight.

I've had pretty bad insomnia for quite awhile I remember once where I couldn't sleep for three days straight. I have time windows where I can get to sleep and if for some reason I can't go lay down it takes at least 3 more hours before another pops up. I actually get real hyper when I am sleep deprived its kinda odd.

I'm sorry to hear that, but just to keep in mind for another time. XP try the Chamomile tea, and it actually has to be that kind because it soothes you, and it tastes very good... I might actually get some here in a few minutes myself. In any case I do wish you good rest when you get it! |
So tired I can't sleep? Never. If I'm extremely tired, all I have to do is lie down and I'll conk out.
But, too anxious or stressed to sleep? All the time. I have to be near a literal collapsing state to fall asleep if I become too anxious over something. When people lie down to sleep, their minds are completely free to think about anything and everything, which usually leads to the negative things, so it's easy to become an 'insomniac'. |
When I'm really, really, really, tired, the chances are that I'm going to be dead asleep in five minutes. O:
|
Yes I have. I stay up until almost four in the morning in the summer time because I am so tired I can't fall asleep.
|
Well.. I can't sleep whenever my brother snores. I try to get him to stay up, but he just doesn't.... When he sick and his nose is stuffed, it sounds awful. ;-; Theres a snort at the end...
I try to wake him up...:p He's always fast asleep... |
All the time. I never sleep when I should. :P
|
Quite a lot, especially when I have something to get up early for the next day. I pressure myself into staying awake longer.
|
this happens all the time. like...right now. I'm tired, but not. I usually stay up very late writing and then I can't sleep for hours. Every night. I don't think I've ever just fallen asleep in a few minutes.
|
That happens to me if I don't take my Xanax. I'll be exhausted but I simply can't sleep, which is why I really don't want to get off of the stuff. I NEED MY REST.
Otherwise, I pretty much fall down and I'm, for all intents and purposes, DEAD for the next few hours. |
thats why i am here right now
|
during the day, if i get too tired, i can lay down and nap for an hour or so, but at night
i don't sleep until about 3 or 4 am, then i'm up around 6 or 7am. [unless i'm sick. then i can sleep for 24 hours straight without moving, haha.] i have really bad insomnia. i've had it ever since i went to this hypnosis seminar when i was about 15, they put you in a sleep-like state for a little under ten minutes and wake you up when the timer goes off, make you drink something then put you back under. it was to deprive your subconscious of r.e.m. sleep and help you have better control over your thoughts. all it really did was jack up my sleeping habits and make my dreams ridiculously vivid. i'll occasionally deprive myself of sleep for a few days, mostly because i write and paint a lot better under sleep deprivation. if you can't sleep and it's becoming a common thing, perhaps you should talk to a doctor about possibly prescribing you a sleep-aid? |
I've had insomnia before, but I've never been unable to sleep because I was tired. Mostly because of other things like school or whatever bothering me. I hate it when my mind wanders when I'm trying to sleep, and it touches on an issue that's really bothering me at the time, like money or assignments, or whatever. It's so hard to go to sleep when you're worried or scared, that oftentimes you just end up making the whole situation worse for yourself. It's quite tiresome.
