I'm doing a travel plan for my Japanese class. And I've been doing research but I can't really find anything from peoples personal experience.

So, who has been to China?
Where did you go?
What did you do?
How was it? Was it fun? Where people nice to you? Ect..
Expensive?
Good food?
Explain your trip :D
Gimme juicey details.. Cause I'm starting to want to go now :P

My step dad has gone a few times and he always comes back thinner because he's afraid of their food he says. Well, because they don't cook the same as they do in America. He was afraid of the shrimp that still had their heads, and the chicken too o.o

I've been to China a few times. Visited the Great Wall. I'm scared of heights, so that was a scary experience especially when the parapets or whatever are at knee-length and you ascending in a narrow section of the wall. God I felt like crawling.
The descent view this roller-coaster-like thing was scary too given how old it was, and there was almost no support except for some loose netting around certain corners.

Also went to a ton of other places via tour bus. Unfortunately 3/4 of the time the tour bus sent us to affiliated stores and a Buddhist 'temple' where I think the main point was trying to take money from us. Seriously, they sent us all into a room with these monks who told our fortune than asked us for a large donation. When we didn't give any their interest in us disappeared just like that. "Next".

But overall it was a nice experience.
Cheap clothing. :D Fun stuff!

i'd rather go to japan. my granma's chinese and the rest of my family's
japanese. i say the food's a little too fatty for me. i like soy tofu and seaweed with green tea better than chiken.
