Snakes, because. . . . .they're just creepy, Clowns, because they're SCARY, and Adults yelling. Every time one of my teachers yell it makes me want to cry, and it's all my dad's fault! He yelled a lot when I was little, so I guess that's my reason for being afraid.

Xai 03-24-2010 11:59 PM

I have a fear of Barbies, bees, and a certain word. :P

Barbies, because when I was young I would stuff them in the closet when I was done playing with them. I also gave a few of my Barbies haircuts that, well, didn't turn out the way I expected them to. Now I'm afraid they'll attack me in my sleep to get refenge.

I'm afraid of bees because they're pure evil. >_> Even if they're outside a window, I still get freaked out. Every time I see one I drop whatever I'm carrying and take off. When I was a younster I thought bees were adorable; I would catch them all the time. And of course... a few of the ones I caught died. Now (like the Barbies) I'm paranoid they're going to sting me for revenge. Repeatedly. I'm afraid of wasps as well, but I think everyone feels the same about those little buggers.

As for the word... That's a secret. The only thing I'll tell you is that I can't stand hearing it spoken. xD My fear of it came from something my sister told me when I was little. I guess you would call it a tramatic event (I guess).

I have some of the weirdest phobias ever, I think.

I'm afraid of mirrors in the dark. And not because I believe in Bloody Mary or anything like that. Just because looking into a mirror in the dark is very creepy to me. Everyone always laughs when I explain this to them, but honestly, try looking really hard into a mirror when it's dark. You're mind will start to play tricks on you and you'll think you have seen something. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps.

I'm also afraid of spiders, which is perfectly normal, I'd assume. I can usually handle other bugs as long as they aren't crawling on me, but for some reason I can't even be in the same room with a spider. I'm always afraid they are going to bite me.

Germs is a good one too. I'm always washing my hands or sanitizing stuff. No body ever wants to get sick, and I try to do all I can to avoid it as much as possible.

I'm afraid of seeing people die. Happened to me once and I've been traumatized for years. I often find myself waking up screaming in the middle of the night and thinking about it while I'm awake. In all honestly I wish it never would have happened. However, everything happens for a reason, I suppose.

I absolutely cannot stand snakes. Just the look of them is creepy and the way the feel doesn't do them any justice either.

I'm not sure why, but whirlpools and tire swings make me run away. I can't stand things that spin because I feel like it'll never stop spinning. Swings that also swing off to the side instead of straight make me back off and turn around so I don't have to watch. I can stand ceiling fans a little more than I used to. Those used to have a big effect on me as well. I'm really not sure why I can't stand this stuff...I can go on some rides that spin around and don't bug me at all, so I'm not sure if spinning and getting dizzy is what I'm afraid of or not.

NicoTerra 03-25-2010 03:58 PM

I'm freaked out by deer. Also baby dolls, needles, and zombies.

The Real Nikki 03-25-2010 04:02 PM

Deer? Haha, how'd that happen?

Rallaa 03-25-2010 04:31 PM

Deep water scares the shit out of me.
I feel like something going to grab me and drag me down. I don't swim in pools much anymore but when I did, this fear kept me from leaving the shallow end of the pool. If I can't feel the bottom with my feet, I don't want to be in the water.

kyuhyun 03-26-2010 12:54 AM

I'm scared of sloths and ant eaters. I have noooo idea why but they completely gross me out.
Especially, sloths. I can't even look at pictures of them or my skin crawls.

I'm also afraid of people staring at me through a window at night. Like if I have to close a window in the dark I never look out of it and look down because I'm scared there will be a person watching me.
I think it's because my father told me when I was young that he had a dream that a strange man with a pitchfork was staring at him through his window, and it freaked me out. haha

Rallaa 03-26-2010 03:42 AM

@ Kyuhyun
Omg, I'm scared of people looking at me through a window too! Thanks for that story, now I'm even more afraid of windows. :gonk:

Snort Like A Pig 03-26-2010 09:38 PM

Um, lol... I'm glad you're getting over your phobias... :) I don't have any. I'm scared of some stuff but nothing extreme. I'm a braveee kid!

ziatenaj 03-26-2010 09:50 PM

:/ I can't imagine being freaked out by sexual organs... and touching... I like sex too much.
I'm scared of the dark, closed spaces, spiders and kinda heights.

TalkingBackwards 03-26-2010 10:32 PM

Barnacles disturb me.

ShiroUsagi 03-27-2010 01:06 AM

Okay, so I have a few things I'm scared of, as we all do. But being completely one hundred percent honest, I would say that my biggest fears are death, and the dark. I fear death mostly because it is my belief that when we die, we just stop existing, which is a very hard reality to accept.. It's absolutely terrifying to think to myself that I won't think, breathe, or exist in ANY way, not heaven or hell or anything else. But I am also, quite sadly, terrified of the dark. I am seventeen years old, and completely terrified of it. When I was little I would stare at the wall and see the shadows creep into Monsters or the clothing hanging in my closet take on the ominous silhouette of a man. But now, I mostly fear the idea of something being there that I can't see, whether that be a homicidal maniac or a wolf spider, the idea simply terrifies me. But then again, who doesn't get that little shudder of terror as they step into a pitch black room after watching a horror film?

Leye 03-27-2010 02:09 AM

SPIDERS It's a huge phobia for me.

obiwankendrobi 03-28-2010 01:52 AM

SPIDERS!
They. Are. So. CREEPY.
They have too many legs.

amyymickss 03-28-2010 03:27 AM

Well anything that makes my skin crawl up is when people make squeeky noises. For instance, finger nails on a chalkboard or scratching styrafoam. {sp} But my phobias would be fishes and birds! They are so slimy and birds will just attack you, I mean it is kind of weird. A lot of people are like "How can you be scared of them!" I sometimes hate swimming in the ocean... but I do watch Shark week. Haha.

kaihkc 04-05-2010 01:16 AM

i think what would make my skin crawl is SAW movies
i can never watch them......i know its sad

MissxMarionette 04-05-2010 02:23 AM

touching freaks me out, shoes kind of freak me out

when i see objects on different degree angles from the last time i saw them, it freaks me out.

talking to people freaks me out to the point where i'll even shake knowing im sitting behind a computer over a humdred miles away from someone.

the sound of pencil shavers gives me the creeps, the sound of my birds grinding their beaks or people grinding their teeth freaks me out o.o

and hearing frequencies kinda freaks me out

TalkingBackwards 04-05-2010 10:52 AM

COCKROACHES WITH EGG SACKS. D8 *scarred for life*

PaintedApple 04-05-2010 02:23 PM

Scorpions. Nothing creeps me out more than scorpions! I can handle snakes and most spiders but scorpions send me screaming out of the room. *blech* Just talking about about them makes me shiver.

johnny 04-05-2010 03:16 PM

I have a phobia of spiders and bugs and stuff, but I'm less afraid of what they look like and what they are and more afraid of the idea that they might crawl into my ears at night and lay eggs there. Or they're like all those parasitic bugs, like the Bot Fly and they just have to land on you in order to lay eggs in your skin, and then they live in there and feed off you.

I'm also afraid of needles (the hypodermic kind).

I'm also afraid of large bodies of water, especially the ocean. I can't swim, so there's the source of my fears, but the problem is I'm too afraid to get into the water and learn to swim so the fear will never go away.

I don't like sponges. For some reason, they just give me the willies. I can't stand anything porous, like sponges or coral, or those images of cells and stuff magnified 3000 times.

I'm terrified of driving.

I'm less terrified and more just grossed out about sex and kissing and the like. I've never had a boyfriend or been in a relationship despite being 20 years old, so I pretty much have the mind of a six-year old who thinks kissing and stuff is gross. The only difference is I actually do have crushes, I am attracted to certain guys, I have a "type" and I actually want to be in a relationship. Just... Without sex.

And, finally, I'm afraid of pretty much every and all social interactions. I include online interactions, too, unless it's a completely anonymous chatroom of some kind. I make a mistake in a forum or something and get mocked for it, and I'm having minor panic attacks for the next couple of weeks whenever I recall it. I make a mistake in real life, and I'm having nightmares and day-mares about it for months, if not years, despite knowing that everyone else has forgotten about it. I have this thing where I dwell on something forever. If I ever make a truly, truly embarrassing mistake I'm afraid I'll just snap and go into a catatonic state of reliving that mistake in my head until the day I die.

because 04-05-2010 09:57 PM

Bugs of any sort. Spiders even more so.
I've also got some of the lowest self esteem on the planet. So whenever I'm in public, I feel like people are constantly looking at me and criticising me and talking about me behind my back and laughing at me. I'm terrified of what people might think of me, so I'm always conscious of how I look and my mannerisms and the way that I talk and what I say. It's very... tiring.

Sulley 04-05-2010 10:16 PM

I love spiders, they're cyut D:
*Cough* I'm afraid of mold. Or maybe just disgusted is the proper term, if you need barf projectiles for any reason just get me and a piece of moldy food. That and having to touch dead things, I'm fine with dead things so long as I'm not doing anything to them, heck if anything I think dead things are generally pretty cool. It's just, the second I have to even poke them I start to freak out. Dissection in biology was not easy for me...

TurtleTacos 04-06-2010 12:56 AM

Phobia: ANY scary movies. I can't stand them. Just thinking about them later in a dark room makes me think they're around the corner >:
Fear: Being Fat. I don't want to be as obese so I can't look at my toes. :[ I have an obese grandfather, and it's terrible looking at them

Tokai_Hara 04-06-2010 12:58 AM

SPIDERS!!! I don't know what it is about the way they walk but it just creeps me the hell out!!
