I can't sleep in a moving vehicle or plane or train or whatever if I can't feel it moving. It's hard to explain. If a car travels smoothly, it makes me feel kinda sick, so I can't sleep. So planes are a bit of a hassle for me, too. and most trains.
I ride my bike to work and class. Been tempted to fall asleep on it plenty of times XD what a disaster. |
Yush! Because sometimes, if the trip's too scary I'd rather sleep through it.
Or if I'm just too tired to bother. Especially when I've had too little sleep the night earlier. A good give minute or fifteen minute power nap is the way to go! ._.; |
The only vehicle I can sleep in is a car. Infact, I tend to get really tired in a car xD We went to somewhere with my boyfriends dad and it was only an hours ride away, and that's it, I was asleep!
I tend not to be able to sleep anywhere else though, like trains for instance, because I need to be alert and aware - make sure no one steals my bag and/or luggage, and make sure I don't miss my stop! It doesn't seem to bother my boyfriend, he sleeps anywhere! |
I always feel sleepy when im in a long trip..;P
|
I fall asleep really easily on ferries and boats. the rocking is so gentle it makes me sleepy!:P
But it's really hard for me in cars. I have to be pretty exhausted. Usually car rides just make me feel really sickly. D: And even when i do fall asleep, i always wake up feeling WORSE than when fell asleep! Trains are nice for sleeping too....until the whistle goes off for whatever reason @[email protected] |
I fall asleep very easily in a vehicle, only if we are driving for a long period of time of course.
|
I'm fairly sure I can sleep just about anywhere. There used to be a family in joke that claimed I could sleep through a war zone, if that's any indicator. :3
|
I can sleep just about anywhere if I'm tired enough, though I have to be fairly comfortable. I've fallen in the car several times, but I was mostly half-asleep. |
It's the exact opposite with me. I find car rides kind of soothing, and have since I was a baby, apparently. My mom told me they used to drive me around the block a few times to get me to sleep, when I was a baby. :' 3 If I'm tired, the movement lulls me to sleep. |
I can't sleep in a moving vehicle.
I just have this feeling that I'm going somewhere, so I have to be awake and alert. I was awake through an entire 22 hour bus ride to California for a choir trip... I only slept on the trip back because I was exhausted and even then, I only slept for a few hours. I was the only one awake through most of the return trip. X3 My brother and sister on the other hand, they buckle up and BAM! it's naptime. XD |
I can only sleep in a car, I have hardly ever slept on an airplane, even if it is an 18 hour flight.

and my brother and my cousin are like that too XDD |
shoot, I can sleep anywhere.
If I'm not driving and I'm tired at all I always fall asleep in the car. The movement puts me right out. The sun could be blazing in on me and I still am snoring away. |
No. I've only done it once, and it was when my husband was driving. It's only when he's around that I become completely relaxed. If he's not with me, I'm an extremely light sleeper. The smallest bit of light or noise will keep me awake.
|
I can sleep in a moving car...although I can't read in one or else I'll be nauseous. And I can't eat celery in one or I'll throw up, which is strange because I can eat everything else in a car.
|
I can't sleep on airplanes. It is mostly due to the fact that I have aviophobia (fear of planes) and so I'm kept up for hours on end due to anxiety. Though, I can sleep in cars as long as I have some room to stretch out, or the seats are comfy. I've never tried on a boat. I didn't sleep on a train, but they are relaxing, so I don't think I would have a problem with them.
I do get motion sickness though, so sleeping and music are my only options. Everything else, including talking, makes me feel nausea when I am in a car. |
I can rest my eyes but i can't never seem to actually fall asleep.
Specially in airplanes. In airplanes I'm always on the look out, i take 2 each summer. And I'm utterly afraid of them, i've to take medication to calm me down. NOT EVEN the medication puts me to sleep. But thats not stopping me from visiting my family and I'm getting off topic.. |
If I'm in a car, I have a harder time falling asleep as I can only sleep on my stomach with one leg propped out to the side. But if I'm in an RV - my family did a lot of traveling around the US in an RV when I was a kid - and I could lay down, I would fall right to sleep. The moving of the vehicle is very soothing. But, like someone else mentioned earlier, as soon as the car would slow down or stop, I would wake right up.
|
I'm weird... I can't sleep in cars but have no problem falling asleep on a plane... ::nods::
|
When I was little if I fell asleep in the back of our van, my dad would carry me up to bed. Even nights where I didn't have time to fall asleep I just pretended so he would carry me. lol. I think because of that, the motion of a vehicle constantly makes me yawn. Even if I'm not tired, it just rocks me to a relaxed state where I could possibly drift off.
Although I haven't actually fallen asleep in a vehicle in some time, I think I still can. |
I guess for me it depends on if I'm REALLY tired, or just tired :/ I can't go to sleep usually unless I'm so worn out, I could sleep in a bank robbery, a burning house, or a war :P Or all 3!
|
I can't sleep in a car. Even if I had been awake for like two days straight, I still can't fall asleep.
|
I can fall asleep inside a moving vehicle depending on how I am seated in the car or simply I'm just really worn out.
|
Actually, I find it easier to sleep in a moving vehicle than in a bed that is not my own. My own bed is the best XD
I just close my eyes and I'm off! It was embaressing when I fell asleep on a coach in front of my whole class! :/ |
I can sleep easy in vehicle. i just knock out.
