Everybody has a soft spot.

I'm not talking about horrific tragic incidents. (That's more for the Life Issues section anyway). I know ^ that stuff happens and it sucks major. . . well, my dad would have some interesting words to finish that sentence. But it isn't what I'm talking about.

What I mean is . . .

I cry at The Biggest Loser A LOT! I dunno even know why sometimes. Once they start crying, I start getting misty eyed **sniffle** I think it has to be something about them getting their lives together and finding out how they got to their lowest points that touch me.

How about you guys?
What gets you misty eyed?
Why? (If you know?)
Is it embarrassing? - (I know I'd rather not have my friends see me blowing my nose just because I saw The Biggest Loser ;) )

When my best friend talks about his mom, who's terminally ill. Breaks my heart some of the things he says.
I also get really teary on Remembrance Day parades, possibly because of my connections to people having died during the war.
Anything sad during films. For some reason they affect on me more than real life situations.

I don't generally cry about a lot of things, though that said, i cry more now than i used to. I hate people seeing me upset because i look so pathetic and snively. I loose the ability to speak coherently.

I could list so many things here, haha.

Most episodes of Cold Case, the endings are just so emotional! Sad episodes in 90210 as well. Sad movies like The Thin Red Line, Pursuit of Happiness, Titanic and so on.

Some books, like The Age of Innocence, Gia Carangi's biography and My Sister's Keeper.
Thinking about losing my mother also brings me to tears.

And the fact that my favourite designer has passed away.. :(

For a bad kind of crying, animal cruelty in homes. I don't know how someone can hurt pets.

Grad school.

Seriously. I went to my thesis advisor (who's brand new this year) and was talking about how there's no way I'm getting in (because I'm missing Greek, a major part of a Classics degree). Then I burst into tears. I think I made him feel super awkward. I mean, a 21 year old student he hardly knows crying to a 30-something- year-old bachelor over grad school. I was laughing about it to my friend who thinks girls cry too much. He said it was okay because "grad school is scary."

Animal death.
Or just animals hurt.
In movies, mostly. But if I see an animal in the road or something, I can't stop bawling.
I'm just torn up the rest of the day. I can't watch movies where animals die/get hurt. D:

I admit that I've cried when characters I like die in an anime or something. xD

And apparently slow songs. My mom told me when I was younger, I used to cry at church when everyone would sing hymns. o_o I don't really remember this, but to this day I still find slow songs kind of depressing.

I cried during the Olympics when that guy died... Then again on the news when they kept replaying it, as if I didn't get the picture the first time around. I also cry when I hear that our soldiers were killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. That kills me inside, because I know so many people that are over there.

I cry like a bloody baby though, when I hear that soldiers have come back safely from overseas, seeing them with their families makes me so happy that I start crying.

When there are really sad parts in movies or books. When I think about my parents' divorce and how I was 5 years old and we were all crying when my dad left, except him. And I used to think that it was all my fault, but it wasn't. Also, when I'm emotionally hurt.

-People . companion animals and pets dying.
- Lack of self empowerment.
- Problems caused directly and indirectly by lack of self empowerment.
- Apparently going off my meds since part of the reason I cry is purely physical ( very weird).
- Extreme animal cruelty.
- World overpopulation issues.
- Missing the ocean 9 A self empowerment/finanical issue).

I tend to cry in really sad, sappy movies - especially those by Nicholas Sparks (he wrote A Walk to Remember and The Notebook).
I also cry in joy when something really good happens out of a bad situation hahaha - but it only happens to a few select movies, the most recent being Avatar

Suffering makes me cry. Just seeing destruction of something whether it's an idea, a person a plant...it breaks my heart. Seeing animals mistreated, watching them tear down trees for construction makes me cry. I know...I know....I'm a tree hugger, but I love nature, I believe we should co-exist with the animals, the plants, the rivers, just..the earth, you know? People have become so calloused and uncaring, it breaks me apart. And they think that just because animals can't speak or aren't human that they can do whatever with them. Things like Dog fighting, bull fighting, horse tripping are events that shouldn't take place because it's cruel and unfair. I remember a story my friend told me where...she was driving and there was a dog who had been hit by a car on the road. The dog was still alive, but dying and people were just..driving around the poor thing. It enraged me just as it brought tears to my eyes, luckily she took the dog herself to the vet clinic and the dog was saved.

I cry at certain movies, some moreso than others..."The Notebook" makes me bawl like a baby, lol.."Edward Scissorhands" makes me tear up at the end..."What Dreams may Come" made me cry...

I cry when I read certain books too. Sometimes books make me cry more than movies bc I can visualize however I want.

I cry when I watch movies or television shows about people getting made fun of for having a handicap or getting picked on for a mental disability. It just gets to me...

Certain songs can do it as well...for some reason, one that gets me every time, is "The Meadow" by Alexandre Desplat on the New Moon Soundtrack...It has no words, but that music makes me feel so much, lol...

A very good book with a character that reminds me of myself,
for example, Harry Potter, who lives in a sh*tty house with stupid people...
Well exept I'm not a wizard.
Or when I see/read something about animal abuse,
those sad commercials at Animal Planet...
Or when people are gonna save animals, that could make
my cry a bit too in relief. Glad there are people to save them...
