This is my not so formal announcement. My IUD has been removed and the hubby and I are trying for a third child. I'm so excited, but it's odd because I can't really talk about it to people in real life until something legitimate happens. So I'm talking about it here. My oldest is an 8 year old boy, and my second is a soon to be 3 year old girl. I'd like the third to be a boy, but I'm not feeling none to picky. So, my fellow Menewshans, what is the magic baby number for you? Are you content with none, or do you want to outdo the Duggars? Three is definitely my magic number. I think it is just right for us.

I'm not really thinking about kids much, outside of the ways I would torture them with ridiculous punishments if I had them. >.>
But I would warn about rivalry between the 2nd and 3rd child, if the 3rd turns out to be a girl. Only 'cause I'm the middle, and still have a bit of a rivalry with my sister. My sister's always been "the baby" and I've been the one that has to clean up after her. It's been rough love between us. XD Just a warning, is all.
Best of luck to you, too! Little kids are adorable, hilarious, and tricksy all at once! =D

I love kids a lot, but I know right now I am too immature for children myself. For now I’m a pet mother. Haha, but one day I would love to have a child. Two would probably be my limit though.. three if the first two went smoothly and I have the financial stability for it.

I'm an older sister, and I put my little sister through hell on more then one occasion HappyStarr. I love her to death, but it did make me want to stop with one girl as a parent XD.
That was what my plans were too ButterflyDemise. I didn't think we would get to the point where we had enough stable income and were still at a decent age to have a child. But it seems we moved along a little faster then I could have anticipated. :)

i want one or two of my own and to adopt one or two more.
i've always wanted to a large family because of the bond i saw between my cousins.
they are a family of four, two girls two boys.
and they are always there for each other and hanging out.
i love it.

Good luck! ::Sprinkles you with baby dust::
One is my magic number.
I've already had the only child I'll ever have, and she will be so spoiled when she grows up!
...
Well ok maybe give me a few years until this one is in school, I might like to adopt a second child. Definitely not more than two though!

haha ya. I can't see myself wanting there to be sisters if I were to have children in the distant future. At least, not if they were close enough in age for the older to not understand the concept. 'Cause I'm sure I'd pass on some very cruel tendencies (like trying to take out my baby sister on several occasions...) XD
Of course, I've also seen sisters that get along so well it's almost unthinkable. I guess it goes either way, huh?

I think I will settle with two, no more than three. But I still have a lot of growing up to do, so I'll see.

I definately want two kids, but I kind of what to adopt a kid as well. I don't know if I want to have one, and adopt one or have two then adopt a third? I just feel like if I have my own kids then adopt one, the adopted one won't feel like they're part of the family. Either way, I want 2-3 children. I'm only 15, so my opinion might change in that amount of time. But it sounds good to me now! : )

Yeah!!! Congratulations! ^___^
I want a lot of children (I'd like to adopt, too). . . at least five total, and I would love to have a set of identical twins. Twins run in my family, so hopefully I can pop out a pair. Right now all of my cousins are pregnant or just had a baby. ALL OF THEM! Okay, that's an exaggeration. . . but like 5 of them are in this category.

At about age 16 and 17 my sister and I started a huge turn around. We were no longer each others enemy, we became us versus them. I don't know why it happened that way, but I love it. We are still the same way. We have a tendency to prank the heck out of people.

Haha that sounds awesome. My sis' and I seem to be constantly struggling to out-do each other. Me, because I'm the older sister and I can't let her forget that. Her, because she's still expected to live up to me...and I've definitely left some large footprints. Though, I really wish she wouldn't look up to me the way she seems to. It bothers me. I just want to see her live her life, not try to live mine. T_T

Good luck!
I'm not an overly child adoring person. I quite hate them actually. That said, i think i would take to my own more than other peoples, and i want a large family. I'm thinking about 3 or 4 children for me, but i'm in no state to have any. I'd love it if i had three boys and a girl...Not sure why. I've never liked girls very much. Most likely because i know what a horror i was/can be. At least another12-15 years before i have to contemplate much more on kiddies.

How exciting! Good luck!
I used to think I'd want four kids, but now I've got one, that's completely changed.
We've got her, and we love her to bits, and she's amazing... and that's it. She's enough, she completely fills that hole. The desire to have more kids just isn't there, for me or my husband.
The only reason I can think of to have another is because I've always felt it was good for kids to have siblings... but that alone isn't a very good reason to have another baby.
Which puts us in kind of a difficult position, as the hubby's family are all trying to pressure us to have more. But they can back off and learn to mind their own business, as far as I'm concerned.
Realistically, maybe one day we'll have another, when our baby girl's older. But I really can't see us having more than two.
I'm also really interested in adopting a baby from India, so we might do that instead of having one biologically.

Well.. I think I'll have however many feels right! Right now, I'd settle for 1 or 2, but it could change in a few years.
Mom and Dad had 4
Oldest sister----> had her tubes tied because she doesn't want ANY kids. It suits her and her hubby though :) They have a good life without them, and it's their decision!
Oldest brother---> HAVING OUR FIRST ONE IN MAY!! He'll probably end up having a LOT.
Other brother----> isn't married; I'm sure he'll have kids, but he'll be a terrible father since he's too childlike himself.
My dad came from a family of 14 kids.. I don't know how many I want, but that's a little absurd.
...I don't know why I felt the need to tell you my whole life story.

I honestly think it's normal to not like other people's children. I love my own with all of my being, but I only put up with other peoples. I'll never admit to that in real life though XD. I wanted all girls from the time I first started thinking about children, but now that I have one I think that one is good. I kind of like the idea of us being the only two women in the household.

I used to think that I wanted one kid but now I don't ever want to have any. XP Maybe if I get a girlfriend and we get married I'll consider adopting one from Africa or China. Other than that, no way am I allowing a parasite to use my body for 9 months.

One is my number and thats if it's a boy.
I'd really like a boy, if not I'd like to have a boy and a girl.
Two is the limit though, I'd prefer just one, but I can live with two.
Haha.

A frog can't turn into a bird and a dog can't turn into a cat. Saying babies are parasites means that we're all parasites.
