I've been told for years that picking your nose (and eating it sometimes) is a way to build up your immune system.
I still have a habit of picking my nose... mostly when it itches on the inside. And I try to not do it in public.

But I believe that most people pick their noses, even if they refuse to admit it.

i'm the same way.
i pick at it when it itches.
or when i feel that i have boulders in it.
i have a tiny nose, and that tends to happen.
hurts like hell too.

Yeah, the inside of my nose tends to dry out, especially since I've moved to a much drier climate.
Which usually makes me feel like something's trying to cut into the inside of my nose or that there's just something large and sharp stuck. Human nature is to avoid discomfort, so of course I get it out. XD

I'm guilty of picking my nose. But only when I can FEEL the boogers in there. It's so irritating. And I had a sore on my nose the other day and couldn't blow it and it itched so I just used my finger. My boyfriend told me to knock it off. XD I was like "IT ITCHES!!!" And he's like "Scratch it like this then!" And i was like "It's not working!"

Yeah, silly days.

I try not to because sometimes I do it without noticing. @[email protected]; And that's kind of gross to be standing in line at the bank and diggin' for gold. XD

Hah. My girlfriend pops my pimples whenever she damn well pleases. It drivers her parents mad when she starts doing it at the grocery store.

I think ALL women like to pop pimples. XD Idk why but I find it almost satisfactory.

@estrella - haha i have those moments sometimes where i'm like, "shiz did i just pick my nose in public?!!!" i try not to but its so little and it gets built up. grr!!!
@deviant - oh my gosh... my boyfriend gets freaked out when i try to pop his zits. have you ever seen those crazy videos where they have a huge build up of gunk and it just keeps oozing out?!

@Estrella: While I do like popping pimples, I don't like popping other people's pimples. Just my own. XD

LOL. mau5ie (i'm just gonna' call you mouse. why? because that's what I see whenever I see your name...is that okay? XD). I find myself doing it in my car A LOT and then I'm driving past cars and I think "oh lord, did they just see that!?"

bakacoconut: Hahah. I use to pop my ex-husbands pimples all the time. I'd pop my boyfriend's too, if he'd let me. But he can just sense when I'm SEARCHING for them. xDDD

@Estrella: Yeah, I can sense when my girlfriend's looking for pimples to pop. Her favorite location just happens to be my nose.

The nose holds the most AMAZING black heads sometimes. Oh jeeze. O:

@ estrella - the car is my prime nose gold hunting ground. i find myself checking my mirrors much more frequently when doing so. and pause when a car passes. /d'oh.

") also, i concur. popping a zit successfully, without invoking pain in others, does give you a sense of pride. doesn't it? an old friend waaaay back in middle school used to love picking at mine when i had really bad acne. he'd grab my shoulders and be like "comehere!!!" and start on me. is it odd or does it actually feel good to you guys when it is popped?! @[email protected]

@ the real nikki - that really made me lol. i've only gotten scabs that are caused from extremely cold and dry weather. that blows also.

i've always picked my nose, and i still do, and i'm nearly 20! altho, i never ate it before, i found that nasty. but the reason i pick my nose is cuz blowing doesn't get enough our for me to breathe. and, i have such bad allergies, that i have to clear my nose out a lot.

@ the sophomore attempt - i've only had 2 nose bleeds in my life and they were caused by dry super cold weather. both times freaked me out because they happened upon waking up! D:

@ BinkaKitty - d'aww.. yea blowing never does anything for me. my nostrils are so small the goop seems to get caught behind them. woops. i always have tissue handy though to wipe my treasures in.

Not gonna lie that's some pretty interesting information. Ha ha. And I always rub my nose with my arm.
