Lets go with none of the above. They're just labels. Why do we need classifications and labels to define who we are. I'm a 'Me'. I'm not someone else. That is my label.

Why we use labels for ourselves or others is simply an effort for us to understand the world around us -- it's natural for the mind to find patterns & organize things so that we can know how to react to people who look or act a certain way (hence, labels). Right or wrong, everyone does it, even if some claim not to. Take a sociology course; it explains things awesomely, and you'll stop feeling like a jerk for labeling people.

Me, I'm a nerd and somewhat of a modern-day Beat kid. Although I tend to dress goth and talk punk... I've grown up around so many different labels, and taken in aspects of them all, that the lines are kind of blurred.
