Yeah, I used to get freaked out by the people who weren't afraid to stay stuff to people. Then it got to the just being pissed off stage. But now, I've really come to appreciate it. It IS better than someone talking behind your back.
That's exactly how I feel. I mean, seriously, how am I gonna fix the problem if you're telling everyone BUT me what's wrong?

I collect

skeleton keys.
music boxes.
typewriters (very hard to collect, though, since they take up so much space).
vinyl albums.

Pretty lame collecting skills. I just sort of haunt antique stores. :'D

my friend collects typewriters, hes got 32 of them o.o he just randomly puts one in his backpack, walks miles to a random park and just sits down to write in the middle of a field or something XD I love typewriters

but the whole rock collecting thing started when I was little- I didn't have any friends ever becuase i seem to be an easy target for rumors and crap. I started collecting and naming rocks XD they were my buddehs lol... but I was cleaning the kitchen floor the other day and in a flower pot on the floor I found some of my old rock dudes and all I remember is the pink and black speckled one is Layfayette XD

I have lots of keys and compasses too :O and i like to collect maps and globes

@mau -- I hate that crap. -_- I used to work at Wal-Mart (LAME!), and it was always the older ladies who talked crap. I learned who I could talk to and who would blab to everyone the second I turned my back pretty quick.
And it sucked doubly bad, 'cause I was working full time hours, in addition to going to school full time, with a panic disorder, so I started having stress-induced panic attacks on a pretty regular basis. Some of those old ladies started saying I was faking it and trying to get me in trouble, so I just ended up quitting before they got me fired. Bitches...
I just work for my aunt's little cleaning business, and it's always just me and her when I'm working, so I don't have to deal with the gossip thing anymore. =3

@johnny & MissxMarionette -- I looooove keys! I used to have a little collection, but they kinda got lost the last time I moved. =( I should start that up again...

That's what I want to do! But I don't have any portable typewriters right now. They're all either in terrible condition, or they're too far away and the shipping for them costs more than the typewriter itself. Currently I only have two typewriters. One is a Word Processor from the 90s and I actually use it to type up pages for my stories, and the other is one I'm actually proud of. It's a 1940s Royal MagicMargins typewriter in great condition, working, and I use it to type up notes or to just photograph, because it's so neat looking. But it weighs a godawful amount and there's no way I could ever move that thing from its spot on my desk without another person's help. xD

If you go to antique stores, they usually have drawers or buckets full of antique keys. Some of them are actual skeleton keys with some real age to them, some of them are just kind of lame skeleton-esque keys used to open dresser drawers and hope chests and stuff. But any old, iron or steel key looks pretty cool. If you can't find the keys right away, just ask a worker in the store and they usually have them. I haven't been in an antique store yet where they didn't have keys, whether the selection was really good or really lame, and around my town the keys usually run between one and ten dollars depending on size and intricacy. (:

Cleaning can be pretty fun. Except when the clients have teenager boys. Oh, God, the bathrooms...! D=
But usually it's not that bad. I just throw in some headphones, and the time flies by. $10 an hour doesn't hurt anything, either, especially considering most entry-level jobs around here don't pay more than $8.

i agree. people are really ugly to each other. even when someone is going out of their way to be nice to you.
i do such things a lot.
for example, i'll say hello and smile at people. and hold doors. or stop to offer the elderly help with thier groceries. most of the time i get looked at like i'm effing nuts or i get rudeness in return. i guess people think i'm being sarcastic?

that's nice.. and the boys bathroom would gross me out. i didn't consider that into the equation. never mind. do not want. lol.
ten an hours is pretty nice.. i started at nine fifty nine an hour almost three years ago.. we get a two percent increase on our anniversary date and at the first of the year.. i'll be up to twelve twenty an hour in june!! WOO! my anniversary is on the fourth of june! :D

the rate increase doesn't make a difference though because taxes go up.
damn taxes, they should keep em at a certain amounts.. i know they are good for everyone but... damn em anyhow! D<

Ugh, I hate that! I hold doors for people, and half the time I don't get so much as a thank you. And Heaven forbid I smile at anyone. It's like they think I'm gonna shank them or something, and the smile's just a distraction. >_> I'm not THAT creepy!

Taxes can be a bitch. -_- Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against supporting my country, but the percentages they take out of each bracket are ridiculous. I'm personally in favor of the Fair Tax proposition -- nothing comes out of your paycheck, and all the tax collected is sales tax. That way, everyone's paying the same percentage, and no one can pull that tax evasion crap.

Wrigley's gum wrappers. If you fold them up, you can make them into little chain links and make chains out of them. I have one giant chain that's at least 12 feet long.
It's rather inconvenient, because I don't even like Wrigley's gum. I only chew Trident. But Trident wrappers are too small so usually I just buy packs of 5 gum and throw away the actual gum. O:

I collect incense. They smell so good ^.^ I also kinda sorta collect Monster caps. Weird, I know o_e but still. It's addicting. And the drinks make me uber hyper! XD

For the items, probably pay 10 dollars. Why spend any more?

i've not seen any gumwraper art!

oh! I shall try and get some pictures from my friends, unfortunately most are in college but one of my friends made this really intricate tiara out of wrappers, another made a small little mobile of the solar system out of them and one of my neighbors just does alot of 2d art just making paper look like marbled colors XD

only thing i've done was sewing a flower out of hershey kiss and dove candy wrappers o.o
