Sorry to hear about that. I hope you are not finding this too upsetting. :(
As for myself, I got kicked out of university last year. It seems you and I make quite the pair.
@dieyousucker-
Congratulations on your graduation. As I have had exchanges with you, I worry that this might be something I should know. If you have already mentioned it, I apologize for forgetting. But what was your major?

Ah nice you live in England, well that certainly helps (to a degree) with communication between you and myself. As New Zealand is a bit closer to UK English than it is to US English. Case in point, my high school was "Tauranga Boys College". Happy to hear it was a voluntary leaving.

Well yes and no. If you are hoping for a New Zealand accent, then you would be sadly disappointed. I am not entirely sure why, but I do not have a New Zealand accent. It bothers me less than it used to, but it was something which used to annoy me quite a bit. For instance, at College people would notice it quite a bit. I would get some odd comments aimed at me.
When I moved out of home, I also had people continuously asking me where I was from. I recall one girl upon hearing me say from New Zealand, asked if I was sure. For some reason she thought I was from South Africa. Although the strangest was one person who requested a passport or some form of ID before he would believe I was from New Zealand. Lol, wut?
This largely happened a few years ago. Upon starting my degree in anthropology and politics, this was largely forgotten. I somewhat spoke a lot in class, and as nobody asked I assumed I now had a NZ accent. To my annoyance, a few weeks ago my flat mate commented to me about how people would ask her where I was from. Then make comments on my accent.

You are throwing away your ENTIRE life. Why would you drop out? What could be SO bad that you wouldn't want to live in a house when you grow up. That is pretty much what you are doing! If you drop out you won't have the brains to get a job that gets you a good amount of money. You would probably end up working in a gas station. Well good luck. Oh and I didn't really mean to offend you in anyway! I just wanted to warn you!

Throwing away their entire life? That is quite a strong assertion to make. Without having more information about their personal circumstances, I would avoid using such strong language. As there are numerous different variables unknown to us which could radically change the situation she is in. Furthermore I would also challenge your notion that dropping out equates to lacking in brains.

I felt the same way and I am so glad to be through with college! I the graduation is at the end of May and am sooooo excited!!! :squee: Feels like it was painfull but worth it.
reddeath26:
I have a similar situation with my southern USA accent. I've lived in the south since I was 2 but apparently have no accent to most people. It makes sense why I don't though, neither of my parents were from around here. People at work don't believe that I'm from here or keep asking questions about it -__-

Ah, I had a friend who took some information management classes. From his extremely brief descriptions, I was able to learn it is way beyond me. O.O;;
@Ichinose Nana-
Not trying to sound mean, but it is nice to hear that from someone else who experiences the same accent problem. But yeah, it can be so totally annoying. T_T

Congrats Dude! But don't be surprised if you start to miss it after a while. I graduated last December from Art School and I really miss it. College was a great time in my life with all the things I got to do and all the people I got to meet. I reall just got to grow as a human and as an artist. I will totally be going to grad school in the future.

Wow, congrats on graduating! =]
Eh, my life in school right now isn't that great. I'm failing most of my classes except Lang. Arts. And I'm DEFINITELY am not doing good in math. It's never been my subject. And apparently I'm not good at biology either :C
Also, my friends start to much drama. Especially my cousin and my friend Ricky. But my friends are my friends still, so I'm gonna stick with them. Did you know I have way more guy friends than girl friends? Guys are more relaxing to hang out with in my opinion, since most girls stab you in the back D:
Too bad my post sounds all depressing, now that I read through it XD
