I don't think I have ever donated plasma before, I have donated blood a few times before. It's pretty much painless, and you get free food at the end of it.

The only thing that weirded my out was when they have the collection tube on your arm and it's warm..I don't know why I guess I just associate liquids with coldness.

I've never donated plasma, but I hear it pays decently (at least here, I'm not sure about other states/countries)

I've never donated plasma, or blood. Though I'm not sure if I'm allowed to donate blood o.O *would have to get my doctor's permission*. But I've always wanted to donate some as well, and as they say, "The life you save could be your own". But it would just be nice to donate some extra blood. I'm not afraid of needles or anything, so it would be no big deal with me :3

I tried to donate blood once. My school organized a big thing so students could donate even if they weren't 18 yet, which you're supposed to be before you can donate here. Except I went to the dentist for a cleaning that day and they were like NO. D: And I haven't had the chance since. I mean to soon though. I really want to know what blood type I am.

I don't do plasma donations. I do platelets. Because my body produces a ridiculous amount of platelets, and they can get three units out of me every time I go in. XD Of course, it takes about an hour and a half to do, but it can save from 3 to 10 lives, depending on the size of the person it goes to. And since platelets usually go to cancer patients, I feel extra-good about it.

Sucks, though, 'cause I've got 4 more weeks on the deferral list, at least. They blew out a vein last time, so I gotta wait. =/

I have never donated blood or plasma. I wasn't old enough for a while and now I don't really know the rules. I think it would be a pretty cool thing to do.

I kept hearing commercials on the radio for donating plasma. I've thought about it, but I never got around to finding out where to go to do it.

I sold plasma once, and I doubt I'll ever do it again. It made me so queasy. I do donate blood from time to time though. It's so much easier then plasma. The cold when the plasmaless blood starts going back in is just to much for me. XP

My, that is nice. I wonder if they pay for it in Canada too? Hahaha, I should look into that. It could pay for Mother's day presents.

I wish I had the courage to donate blood or plasma... I am so afraid of needles.
I plan to force myself to try it one day but I know I will start shaking and crying. x____x

I'd really like to look into it now that someone mentioned twenty bucks cash! I could really, really use that. It's also nice to know that I'd be helping someone out. I'll definitely start when I turn 18, but I don't know if they'll let me before then.

I want to donate but can't because I have severe anemia due to an autoimmune disorder. It sucks because I always wanted to donate.

The price for it differs by region, I'm sure. I think my friend gets 30 USD for her donations.

The screening process for donating plasma is more strict than for blood though. She had to answer questions about every single tattoo and piercing she ever had... and she has quite a few...

Mystic, a friend of mine has similar issues. He was just recently out of school for about two weeks because of some sort of extreme inflammation of his trachea or something.

the screening is very intensive for donation... at the center i donate at they don't give out cash, they load credit onto a debit card for you. which is nice. I had to answer alot of questions about my piercings too :( and i have alot of burns from working in a kitchen so they fuss over my arms alot.
