If you haven't known, I've been in a coma for the last three or four (as I was told) months. I've been out of the coma for a week and a half and have been feeling a little dizzy now and then.
I can't really remember much from the accident but I'll tell you what I can.
It was a day after school and Rain and I were going to the park or Starbucks or something. We were at an intersection and I had my skateboard, the light turned to the white guy figure to tell us to walk. As I started to skate off the curb (with Rain following me on foot) about halfway down the crosswalk there's a schoolbus that comes out of nowhere and hits me (breaking my skateboard :( ) and all I know was that I knew my arm was broken and pain exploded in the back of my head and I blacked out.
Lately, my parents have been pretty skeptical about leaving me in the house by myself, but I think I'm doing okay. I can't really say I'm feeling the best, but I get my cast off next week or next month, I can't remember (and it REALLY stinks).
Have you ever been in a coma?
Do tell.

Oh Derrick! *hugs* I'm so glad you're alright. I was wondering why you disapeared. *hugs* No I've never been in a coma, nor has anyone I've known (well personally) has been in a coma.
But I really hope you get better soon!

Wow, it's a good thing that you are still alive after that incident. I've never been in a coma, but I know how it is from other experiences to have people paranoid about leaving you along. I had a seizure at a friends' b-day party before, and then everyone after that was paranoid about the slightest things e.e, it's annoying to say the least. Though I had a similar accident like yours happen. I was riding my bike to school years ago, and it was foggy. I saw someone in the turning lane on the street to head onto the street that I was going to. I thought that they were going to wait for me to cross. That didn't happen. The car hit my and knocked me off my bike. The front tire was badly damaged, but that could of EASILY been my leg. I think my parents were probably a bit worried about me after that though.

Well, good thing you're alive, that's for sure.
The most injured I've ever been is a broken and fractured wrist.
Do you remember anything from DURING your coma? I've heard reports of coma patients hearing people visiting them and talking.

Holy crap.
It's pretty amazing that you woke-up. After a few days of being in a coma, most people don't wake-up ever, but you did. I don't blame your parents for being overprotective and I'd be interested in hearing stories about what it was like during the coma if you can remember anything.
