Rant
I hate when I tell someone I don't like to do something (like walk in 100 degree weather) and they tell me "but this person does it" or "but that person does it." I tell them "well, I'm not that person," but it really irritates me when I'm compared to other people. Is it supposed to motivate me when someone does something I don't particularly enjoy? How is making me feel bad about myself because I'm standing up for what I believe in supposed to make me wanna do it? :-x :stare:
Discuss what annoys you. ---------- No one's gonna reply...? |
What annoys me is... having my schedule changed and not being informed.
Yesterday, I was scheduled to work 10:30 to 5. I got to work, and it was changed to 11 to 5. Today, I was supposed to work 9 to 5, and it had been changed to 9 to 2. I need my money. Don't take away my hours. |
What annoys me is the general public in general, they have such poor manners that it makes going out impossible for me not to get annoyed by someone.
|
I also hate when people compare me to other people! It makes me mad and sad at the same time! :(
|
I don't like when people think I can't do something because i.e. I'm white, I'm a girl, I'm short, etc. It's annoying and I hate it! I hate when someone you totally hate suddenly thinks their your best friend, and I hate it when someone hates me for no reason. I don't like it when people diss my music, my hair, my clothes, my views, just because they're different.
Wow, a lot of things annoy me... |
I hate when the person I babysit for says "Be up at 4:30 in the morning so you can watch my kids" and then never comes. Seriously. If you expect me to be up at 4 in the damn morning, don't bail out and say "Oh yea sorry...my hours switched, forgot to tell you!" I got up at FOUR IN THE MORNING TO WATCH YOUR KIDS.

I hate when people come to my job and think they know more than me. Then proceed to try to argue. And asking to speak with a amanager isn't going to get me in trouble. It's just gonna help us laugh about how dumb you are.

judgment people whom hate people for no reason but looks
|
The most annoying thing for me is usually the response I get when I say I dislike a certain something. Be it a band or a movie or a very certain book series, the person I am disagreeing with always feels it necessary to point out all the flaws in everything I said I like and then explain why what they love is better than my personal tastes. Cool your jets, captain Ahab, I just said I don't particularly care for Linkin Park, I didn't ask for a nine page retort on why Megadeth is the worst band in the universe.

I hate fake people. My school is full of them, which I suppose is inevitable when you go to an all girls school, but still! I do not care for it.. 'Cause like, you don't know where you stand with them! 'Do they actually like me or are they just looking for gossip?' 'Are we really friends or is she just there until somebody better comes along?'. I have to deal with that every day at school and it really ticks me off.. >_<"
Oh, and liars. |
It annoys me when people tell me I should stop playing video games because "they're for kids" (I'm 22) or "they're for boys and I need to do girl stuff". I don't like when people patronize me for whatever reason. I don't like people that drink or do drugs or swear profusely just because they think it's cool. One of my pet peeves is that I really can't stand when someone tells me something that I already know (not teachers or class situations or things like that). I guess it's a bit unfair, because I can't expect other people to necessarily know what I know and don't know, I just tend to get this feeling like they should realize that I already know whatever they told me unless they think I'm some kind of idiot, so I feel like they're calling me an idiot. |
Well work related, I find cell phones annoying. Get off your phone for 30 seconds to talk to me like a normal human being. I have questions I'm REQUIRED to ask you and I think its rude when I have to talk over you. Don't give me a dirty look when I have to interrupt you, you should not be on a cell phone when interacting with people. You can call them back. Unless its a matter of life or death there is no reason you need to be on your phone when going through a drive through, checking out in line and/or any other interactions you're having with real people.

I hate fake bisexuals, christians who tell me I'm going to hell, when my parents make a comment about my BF's hair making his eyes 'pop' (it was funny at first but come on....), labels, being ignored, having people ask me about my schedule like I even know, people telling me stuff like I'm supposed to already know, when my parents and boyfriend make plans for me without my being notified, farmville, energy bars in video games, bras, tight pants, skinny jeans, the way the Aeropostale store smells, how people seem shocked that I don't have a phone, when my friends insinuate that I'm a lesser being because they've never seen me play video games, being hated, being up late, the looks people give me when they find out i go to bed by 10:30 on school nights (self-imposed), when straight girls realize I'm flirting with them and leave.... oh the list....

I paid very close to $80 for tickets for my two brothers and I to go to WWE tonight. We got all the way to the coliseum, a security guard pulled up next to where we were parked and was like, "Oh, they canceled the show. Yeah, they didn't tell anyone. I showed up to work, and there was a sign on the door saying the show was canceled, and to come back December 12th at 5 PM to get a refund." What the crap? Some notice would have been nice. And I better get my money back or I'm going to be extremely POed. Plus, now I have to find other birthday gifts for my brothers, who are extremely hard to buy for. Gah! Totally ruined my day. I should have known. I just had a feeling all day that something was going to go wrong.

People who call in where I work (unnamed cable tv company--tech support). If your TV doesn't work, READ A GODDAMN BOOK. I know sitting and yelling at someone who can do absolutely nothing about it is more entertaining, but check your karma beforehand.
....That is all, thanks. |
Aw I know what you mean. I get compared to my sister all the time, and vice versa. It actually really hurts, because I hate having my faults and weaknesses pointed out again and again and again... especially as my sister, who is confident, pretty and smart, has the attributes I don't. I know my faults, and I don't like being hurt by the fact that my parents think I should be perfect.
