I don't think it's something commonly known. If you ask around Best Buy, or other computer stores, the guys there should at least be able to steer you in the right direction of which ones won't break half a million times. And if you're unsure, read reviews online, too. I still have to resort to a lot of asking around, since my brother just assumes I'm mentally retarded and won't tell me anything most times. -_-''

I have so many FML moments I could write a book :sarcasm:

The ones that come to mind at the moment are all music related though.

Calvin Harris (one of my very favourite musicians ever) was playing a gig at the Ironworks (club near where I live) and by the time i heard about it tickets had sold out.

The Kaiser Cheifs (another major music love of mine) were playing a gig at the Spa Pavillion (in a town near where I live) and by the time I heard about it tickets had sold out...again.

Scouting For Girls were playing at a music festival called Belladrum near where I live and I couldn't afford the tickets. But what was worse was one of my teachers went, so they saw one of my favourite bands live and I never.

Major musical FML :(

XD My brother plains out lies to me T.T I think I am mentally retarded since I usually believe him >.> If I went to him it would go like this:

Me: Are gateway computers any good?
Him: Yea! They're one of the best. I wish I had one
Me: You sure?
Him: Fine then don't believe me! Watch when you buy another computer and it suck, you gonna want a Gateway then!
Me: FINE
Him: Hehehe (He seriously does a fake laugh)

Oh. Speaking of musical FML's...

I've been waiting my ENTIRE LIFE to see Riverdance live. We had the video when I was a kid, and if I wasn't watching Nutcracker or a Disney video, I was watching that. XD Anyhoo...when we moved to Virginia, we learned that they came to Wolftrap every year. My mom promised to take me one year, but my dad always took us away to upstate new york when they were in town. ....Now they've done their Farewell Tour and passed through here last month. I will NEVER get to see Riverdance. FML T_T

~~

Ya, if you're not sure whether you trust your brother, just do some research. =]

Ooh, another musical FML was the Michael Jackson This Is It Tour. I thought I missed my chance of going to it when I failed to get a ticket (yet more selling out, curse you general public :illgetu:) but then a woman at my mum's work had like ten tickets and was selling them. I managed to get one off her for a really good price. So I was sooo excited for getting to see The King Of Pop live, and then three days later he died :(

That was epic FML

HappyStarr 07-06-2010 11:52 PM

0.0 WOW SERIOUSLY. That's just...Sooo upsetting! I'm sorry.. I really wanted to see him live, too. I didn't have any chance of getting tickets, like I knew I didn't for this last Riverdance tour. *sob*

Vexatious~Venom 07-07-2010 12:08 AM

Samers. I was so looking forward to it. Though then seeing This Is It (the movie...obviously ) made it worse because it looked so awesome.

Another thing I really want to see live is Billy Elliot, though I haven't screwed that up yet

Back in high school, I was walking up some stairs and I tripped. My stuff went everywhere and as I was picking it back up, these two girls passed me and were laughing and giving me the look that said, "You deserved that for not being popular and gorgeous like us". I made an amazing speech at them about, "Oh, please stop worrying! I didn't actually hurt myself! I know that it looks like I could have cracked my kneecap, but I did not. Don't fret over me though I thank you for your concern!"

I had just finished gathering up all of my papers and books as I was saying this. I took a step to get to the top floor and walk past them. I tripped again and all of my stuff went everything.

I didn't bother getting up that time until they left.

FML.

Vexatious~Venom 07-07-2010 03:56 PM

Aw, that seriously sounds sucky Mimi

I jumped up to cheer for Spains goal and knocked over my drink on my ipod. Luckily it was off. Now to wait for it to be dry..... FML

HappyStarr 07-08-2010 04:26 AM

OH! I remembered a great one that angelwings just reminded me of. XD It's like...a school FML.

We were in Orlando for an Orchestra competition and we had NO idea another school had chosen to play one of the same songs as us. Since we usually win everything and entirely dominate all the competitions, about half our school's members leaped up and started cheering when they were announcing the Outstanding Soloist award for that song...only to find out that it had gone to another school with a Fluglehorn. Not only did we come off as really cocky, even as we tried to pass it off as cheering for them anyway because we're cool, but none of us even knew what a Fluglehorn was. XD Oh..that was quite the day...

angelwings13 07-08-2010 04:28 AM

Ah, thats a huge FML! ROFL

Rauwra 07-08-2010 04:32 AM

One of my FML moments actually happened with no one around, yet somehow, everyone found out.

I was outside mowing the lawn when first, I ran over a rock. It nearly broke the thing, but it works, so I kept on mowin' xD Then when I was almost through my backyard it suddenly started raining out of nowhere. It nearly destroyed my iPod. I decided "heck I'm almost done I can finish" but instead the mower decided to stop working. So as I move away it suddenly started and spewed gas everywhere. (didn't even know it could). Overall not a good day. FML

HappyStarr 07-08-2010 04:41 AM

Aww! That sounds like it would come right out of a cartoon! DX

Rauwra 07-08-2010 04:59 AM

Needles to say I was not very happy xD

HappyStarr 07-08-2010 05:24 AM

awww I bet. I hate those days. It's like everything's out to get you. T_T

In Middle School I got threatened, attacked, and pranked for 3 years all because I followed the rules. (And they say following the rules helps =.=)

Sorry mine isn't funny... all my fails are either really happy or really crappy >.<

A month after I got my computer it short circuited so we sent it back to the manufacturer and it took 6 months till I got it back. Then a month later it got a virus so we sent it overseas to my brother to repair which took another 6 months. It caught the same virus the next day and I had to wait a month until we could take it over to repair. Then 2 weeks after coming back the plug broke. So 3 months later my brother sent a new plug. Then 1 month later the part of the computer where you put the plug broke. My brother said its to expensive to fix so now its decorative furniture. So all in all, I used the computer for a total of 3 months 2 weeks and 2 days and I owned my computer for about 2 years...FMC

This one is my favorite. C:

I've had to do ALL of my autistic brother's projects for him since he was in middle school. -_- He got a project now in summer school, and I did over half of it. I got screamed at by my mom for a typo in the slide I didn't write for him. FML -___-
Edit:
He may be autistic, but he's actually really smart. He's just too lazy to do the project himself. -_-

angelwings13 07-08-2010 02:54 PM

dang, I understand your pain. I use to have to do projects for my little sis.

Aww...I got bullied a lot for following the rules, too...and ACTUALLY doing homework and getting A's. My 9th grade German1 class hated me because I actually worked hard and cared...T_T

I got bullied for doing NOTHING. i was and still am the shy kid who keeps to herself but yet seems to attract bullies. good kids always have it hard.

I know how you two feel. But I'm more of the evil good kid. Like, if we get the 17-year old sub that gives us the [wrong] answers, I'll let the teacher know.
Then its Formspring nonstop for weeks. -_-

angelwings13 07-08-2010 11:03 PM

My computer froze right in the middle of downloading a game that takes 2 hours to download.....FML

angelwings13 07-10-2010 04:33 AM

dancing around the kitchen to some glee tracks i slipped on some water that nobody took care to mop up and landed hard on my knee bruising it. FML
