Nothing beats rich chocolate cake. I'd take that over pie any day. Key lime pie is pretty good too so is cherry. I used to have this weird obsession with chocolate silk pie and would make it all the time a few years ago.

And yes. It was delicious. It's a cakepiecookie, or cookiecakepie. :lol: All you have to know is it is a mix between the three. And it is made with chocolate and cherries on the middle. :drool:

I love Chocolate silk pie,all most any kind of cakes and cookies. but sometimes I can be a bit picky when it comes to sweets.

Yes, chocolate silk pie is amazing. I so want some chocolate cherries now. That sounds awesome. :drool:

I'm not a huge fan of cakes, there are some kinds I can enjoy but most of them are too dry or sickly. Whereas a good cherry pie (or similar) with hot custard is always welcome on my plate. I do not understand people who eat pies with cream or ice cream though, pies should be warm, not cold.

I agree. Pies are better without icecream and such coldness! But I disagree with you about cakes. All cakes are delicious to me. I love sweet things. And my taste buds enjoy cake.

I'm one of those greedy people I'd rather have both as both are delicious (: but have their own aspects pies can only be made certain ways and be certain flavours.
But it can also be a propper meal like a meat pie or something :D! Yum yum
Cakes come in different shapes and forms but all delicious too.
SO it's a hard choice giving me the option to pick both made it easier for me ;)

Sorry but I really have to say I prefer cake, but it depends on the icing, I don't like the greasy kind but the nicely whipped icing that complements the cake. I can't stand nothing more than to eat a nice cake that is totally buried in thick super tough greasy icing. Makes it way too sweet, and no amount of milk can make me eat it. Good cake like I described, yes, bad cake, no. I also have to add in there that I really really truly love the birthday cake icecream that is out there, gosh it is sooo freaking delicious!! I ate a third of a half gallon of it one night lol

I adore red velvet cake...if it's moist.
And I love, lovelovelove chocolate pie.
Chocolate pie is probably my favorite of the two. I could eat that forever.

My brother makes both delicious cakes and pies. She decorates her cakes very nicely (like professionally), and all of her pies, have the pie crust with the criss-cross lattice pattern. But if I were to choose between the two, I would choose pies. I just like them better, the filling is nice, with cake it's pretty much the same consistency throughout (of course there is cakes with filling, nuts, etc..etc.) but I just like pie filling a lot.

So ya, pies rock!

Cake, most definetly. I've never been a fan of pie in any variety. I don't think anything can really match a triple chocolate and orange cake.

I like pies over cakes, but there are certain cakes i will eat.
My fave pies are Chocolate Cream Pie & "Dirt" pie.
As for the cakes i'll eat, cupcakes & Boston Cream Pie(which used to always confuse me)

I'm...absolutely torn, to be honest. I guess it's a tie?

I love cheesecake...which is a pie.

And then I love Boston Cream pie...which is a cake. xD

Hm. I'd have to say that Carrot Cake witout raisins is my all time favorite cake. But I'm turning from Cake to pie. I work at McDonalds so sometimes I have their apple pie with some soft serve ice cream. It's really good. I think eating Apple Pie with ice cream is a must. Especially if you can put some carmel sauce over it. And pecan pie is good with ice cream too.

Though I think my favorite desert will always be Brownies fresh from the oven with a scoop of ice cream and chocolate sauce drizzled over it.

Great now I'm hungry...

I love pie. Cake can be very...sophisticated. Pie always possesses that homey feel that makes you want to curl up by the fire and hug your mother. Therefore, pie wins. :3

I'll go for either. I'll tolerate some pies and eat them out of politeness if they're not my favourite, though. It really depends what kind of pie it is. Lemon pie... Don't really care for it much... I'll eat any kind of cake, though. Even carrot cake and I really hate carrots.

love em both but good icing with cupcake heads, it's hard to beat. I always wanted to open a special bakery with my mom specializing in cupcake heads lol.
