have you ever felt like this? where you mind just drifts away and the most random time and miss what's going on around you? like, someone is telling you something important, and suddenly, you're thinking about something you have to do or imagining being somewhere else?
i do this all the time without even meaning to. :p

There's a name for that. "Staring into space". XD That's what I call it, anyway. You seem fixated on a point somewhere, and even though you're not even really thinking it seems like it.

Happens to me all the time XD

Trust me hun I know exactly how you feel. sadly this occurs during the most important times of the day. Most frequently seems to be class time. This one professor I have, he just drones on and on and without intending to I end up getting lost, and upon returning realize that an entire hour as gone by and I missed everything. Oo

I have problems with daydreaming/zoning out in some of my classes. Engineering professors aren't the most enthralling speakers in the universe. Then I end up having to bum notes off of a friend in order to understand what in the world is happening.

This happens to me all the time, and ironically it did when I started browsing through the posts, I wasn't all here XD. Though I go into deep thought all the time, and someone can be talking to me, and I won't even realize it. The only way to really snap me outta my deep thoughts is to poke me >w>

I tend to do that in the shower sometimes. >.> We have a house with two bathrooms now, but in our old house someone would have to pound on the door to snap me out of it.

All the time.

I have major ADD and do that all the time. My mind constantly has several things on it at once. It's very busy and sometimes that can be tiresome. A lot of people don't get it. I am constantly thinking of something even if that thing is something as silly as purple rhinos dancing in tutus around a pond.

actually, the worst this ever happened to me was in high school. i had a teacher that, even when i tried to pay attention, i zoned out. she just had that type of voice that made you not pay attention.

I find myself in lectures just staring off into space, and then realizing that I am still in the lecture. By this point I have missed a few key points or a couple of slides that my professor had just said while I was day dreaming.

This is one of the major complaints that comes out of my boyfriends mouth. I do this ALL the time. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just...busy in my mind. Teachers, friends, parents etc...I've become very good at the automatic "uh-huh" but I'm never really listening XD

I always let my mind wander. Sometimes it comes back with something interesting.
