So I was sitting there watching Cartoonetwork for no reason, then I realize how much todays cartoons are so different from the old cartoons.I'm talking about when Tunami was out and Afro Samurai was on it,and Dragon Ball Z was actually showing blood [unlike what they do on DBZ Kai] and like,Nieckelodeon was playing Keenin and Kell and the Amanda Show.
I miss those days, what do you think happened to them?Besides time that is. . .

I miss the old cartoons, too. Invader Zim, the Angry Beavers, even begrudgingly Naruto.
Cartoons these days have gone way down the drain. It's absolutely ridiculous.
I know toonami was taken off the air becuase some kid killed himself imitating something he saw on Naruto.

Yeah, I hate stupid parents that don't bother teaching their kids what is reality and what isn't! It's ruining everything for everyone else. That kid should've gotten a Darwin award.

Actually, DragonBall Z had blood censored out. xD; They couldn't show flowing blood, but dried blood/scratches/bruises were okay, as long as it wasn't actively flowing.
When I was little I grew up with 80s cartoons (and Speed Racer), so it's kind of no wonder that I got into anime, haha! I miss those shows.
I feel like people gave more of a crap about cartoons back then. >__> Jem and the Holograms had a lot of rotoscoping and even though the plot seriously made no sense at all (why did no one ever get arrested in that show for trying to kill people and start terrorist attacks on mansions?!), that show's still enjoyable to me now.
I think Avatar: The Last Airbender is the most recent thing that I've really loved. A true diamond among the filth...
I haven't watched TV in well over a year, and I feel like I'm not missing anything. All I saw were shows that seriously made NO sense and were not funny to me at all. Things like Aqua Teen Hunger Force and... I didn't bother learning the titles of the others. They're just mindless violence and sex jokes. I am baffled by how people can be so obsessed with the cartoons when all of it looks like the same brainless mess to me. Maybe I'm weird, but I like... thinking. And seeing plot. I swear the only way to understand those shows is if you're high, which would explain a lot. Actually, a lot of Disney cartoons now hurt me, too. :/ I think quality has really gone down, even though we have an easier time making cartoons now -- with computers and animation programs and whatnot...
Or I'm just bitter. Either one. >>

Its because the kids of today are simply stupid > .<
Everything is tight clothing, bright colors, and dumb cartoons or something.
They should create a channel for all the classics,I guess boomerang sort of does that but I mean ALL the classics from every channel that provided cartoons, that would own.

I love old Cartoons. I'm mostly into America cartoons that are in the 80's and 90's. I agree that Jem and the Holograms made very little sense too. It's pretty bad if as a kid you think that and it's still true when you're an adult. I also loved old NickToons like Hey Arnold!, Invader Zim, Doug (Before Disney got it), Rugrats, and As Told by Ginger. I watched the whole series of As Told by Ginger a few weeks ago and it's still awesome.
As for not animated shows, Rescue 911, Kenan and Kel, All that, Full House (I hate it now though XD), Family Matters, I dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, just to name a few. Yeah, some of the old shows were corny but that was part of their charm.
I also loved old Mickey Mouse Cartoons even though Mickey was a complete jackass in them. Tex Avery and Chuck Jones also had awesome cartoons as did Steven Spielberg before he came out with "we're Back". Don Bluth also had some kick ass movies before he went all crazy and came up with things like "A troll in central park". That's seriously one movie that makes me mad even thinking about it. It was terrible even for a kids movie. I hated it as a kid and I still hate it now. Disney, needless to say also had awesome movies back then. the Princess and the frog actually was worth calling a Disney movie and I was really surprised. Other than that companies really put out shit now a days but they put out what gets ratings. So in short, the public wants shit so they put out shit.

I miss the old Batman: TAS ;___;
All the new Batman cartoons these days are crap. Like, seriously, "Batman: The Brave and the Bold?" Really? What is this, a soap opera? :/
And Invader Zim. I loved Invader Zim :3
And the old Spongebob episodes, not the new ones.
