nope sorry I don't like Halloween because you have to spend money on a costume and spend money on sweets and gifts it is a government scam to get money. Also you get to a certain age then people wont give you stuff any more so it is quite annoying.

Well my friend made her own Straight Jacket so that she could get the colors she wanted to be her whimsical insane asylum patient. It was quite fun compared to other things we've sewn for Cosplays. And by Horrific I suppose I'd be more murderous. I'm still trying to figure out some new found complications in completing my costume, like getting an actual dress. Then we're going to rip parts of it and add some blood spatter. In all honesty our make up should be the best part, fake tears in my skin and my friends face is going to be "unzipped". |
I have never celebrated Halloween. Reason being, is because I originate from a non English speaking country.
In my home country, we don't have Halloween. Instead, on the first of November, we have All Soul's Day. It is a bank holiday, and on that day most people head to the cemetery and light a candle or two on their relatives' or beloved ones' grave, spend a few moments in respectful silence and most likely, spend the rest of the day visiting family or friends. I will admit, that I would love to celebrate Halloween at least once. Properly, with costumes and all that. And perhaps this year I'll get lucky, seeing as how I have been living in Great Britain for a year now. |

But other than that, nothing's really changed about Halloween, lol. Except the increase in sexual predators... 8D My friends and I still get pillow sacks for our candy, and we do the whole "exchange" process. P: A musketeer, huh? O: That'll be fun. You get to flail your sword around like a madman. :3 I think I'm gonna be a witch... again. xD Dressing up is fun and all, but costumes are EXPENSIVE. |
Happy October! ;D Let the Halloween plans officially begin!

Haha! 8D It definitely does sound like ridiculous amounts of fun! I'll need to convince my Halloween group to go for this. ;D Creepy attention... eh. I go to cons. I'm use to creepy attention. xD Oooh. c: What character are you planning on? Kole_Locke: "Interesting" pretty much sums up my costumes choices for the last four years, yeah. :'D I'll nom a few candy bars iny our honor, definitely! ;3 Sephaline: *starts a fog machine for some added special effects* I wish my phone had This is Halloween for a ringtone option! That's absolutely perfect for this month. Of course, that'd mean giving up my Doctor Who ringtone. :c But I definitely have This is Halloween playing on youtube now. ;D I plan on listening to nothing but Halloween songs for this month. |
@Lathrine: *slaps forehead* How could I forget the fog machine? D:
Doctor Who ringtone? DO WANT :D I had Fireflies by Owl City as my ringtone because I  that song. Yus, moar Halloween songs please! This one is my favorite (besides "This is Halloween"): YouTube - Monster Mash and my second favorite is this Halloween-ish song: YouTube - Voltaire-The Headless Waltz (-Lyrics-) because I always see myself dancing to it with the infamous Jack at a Halloween Ball as he removes his pumpkin-head to rhythm of the song.  LOOOOOVE  ...By the way, how'd you 'tag' me in your post like that? :? |
@ -full username- ;, without the spaces. C:
Sephaline: The fog machine is easy to forget. c: But you remembered the bats! Yesss. 8D It's a remix version of 10/9's opening theme. But no one ever calls me, so I don't get to hear it often. ;c Aww, Monster Mash! 8D I'm pretty sure that's required for Halloween. I hadn't heard of The Headless Waltz before, though. So time to make friends with some new Halloween music. C: |
Lathrine: Testing to see if I did it wrong. Edit: I did, but i figured it out, lolz. >w<
I don't know that much about Doctor Who, I'm a late bloomer. XD I've only seen maybe 3 or 4 episodes with the 10th, but I fell in love with the show almost immediately. I've seen a little of the new Doctor too, he looks pretty epic as well. I'm sorry no one calls you often. :'c Yes, I want to have a Halloween Ball to make friends with! 8D |
Sephaline: Yup, you did! c: I got a PM and everything~
I'm a late bloomer as well, don't worry. :'D Borrow seasons 1-4 from your library. Then have a Who weekend 8D It'll be worth it. Trust me. A Halloween Ball would be amazing. D: I want one tooo. |
Lathrine: I have a friend who is obsessed with the show so she pretty much tells me all about it and knows where to find all of the episodes on the internet. XD I'm not sure if my university has them in their library but I should look sometime, it would be awesome if they actually did. :D
I've never been, but I've always wanted to go to one! Either that or a Masquerade, basically the same thing. XDD |

@Demondog5 ~ You sound like you have had some not so good Halloween experiences and I'm sorry if that is the case. There has been a year or two that I scrapped up costumes without spending any money and as far as candy goes I trick or treated all the way until I was twenty and was able to get a decent sized bag of candy. Now a days I go to Halloween parties with friends, dress up, and party. This year however I may have to work :( @xRhii ~ Sounds gruesome lol!! I'm sure if you go by a hospital it's possible you may be able to get one or costume stores at Halloween shops may have them. Sounds like all of you will have lots of fun! @Aglo ~ Interesting, what country are you from? All soul's day sounds very familiar to our all saints day on November the first. Well I could go into all of the details about Halloween but it's long and drawn out and I'm probably sure you probably have friends over there who have told you all about it. @Eclipse ~ I have enough costumes that I recycled a few of them. Money is definitely an issue for me so I'm going economical as I was a musketeer one year with a fake rapier-- I have a real one but I'm afraid I may come into some legal issues if I carry it around even tied up inside its scabbard. @Latherine ~ Well contemplate it as you still have time to decide and enjoy your candy bar lol! |
I cannot wait for Halloween, I'm going to a party where it will be a masquerade kind of thing. Like a ballroom dance if you would. I think it will be very fun.
|
I love Halloween, although in the country I am in now, does not dress up, go around asking for candy and eating candy ( Well maybe there are some who eats candy.) Some people eats pumpkin pie and last year, we just ate the wrong thing, we ate turkey and that was for Christmas.

@Lonely Existence ~ What country are you in? I love pumpkin pie, especially with a lot of whipped cream, and it has to be dairy-- not that non dairy stuff which is an ok substitution for some dessert dishes. |
Oh, now that sounds like an excellent time, Blueberry. :D Is everyone gonna be in costume?
