Do you end up buying those attention grabbing items by the checkout line? The magazines, candy, gum, and whatever else they end up placing there for you to buy at the last minute while you wait for your turn?

When I shop with others, I know they'll constantly debate with themselves over how they really don't need that candy bar, but they want it. Or they'll grab items as a reflex. Sometimes we'll read over the magazine covers or newspaper headlines and laugh over how dumb the topics are.

I'm never lured to grab anything. Buying a huge bag of fun sized candies is much more appealing than just one. The magazines they place there aren't the type I read.

How about yourself? Are you a checkout line shopper?

i completely agree with you - my friends are always much more tempted than me.
i'm a super budget shopper, so if i want candy or chocolate i buy in bulk.

less healthy, but waaayy less expensive.
candy bars especially seem ridiculous to me - they cost the same as a block of chocolate! x__x

Not really, unless I'm hungry. I'm not really one for sweets or gum, and being vegetarian, I can't eat half the candy out there anyway. But if they have energy drinks and I don't have to get up early the next day, I might be tempted.

Never have. Maybe a couple of times in my life but I always found the chocolate to be overpriced to even bother.

I actually do end up with a candy bar once in awhile because I'm always like "Oooh, Milky Way, I've dreamed about you all day~"

No magazines, though, those things don't spark my interest though I love reading tabloid headlines.

But sometimes they have things like lint rollers that I never remember to buy until I see one, or if there's batteries up there.

I buy soda a lot at the checkout, too.

I do like looking at things in the checkout line, but I'm never really tempted to buy anything from it. ...Unless I remember that I'm out of gum or if I've had a craving for chocolate for a while, then I get something.

Nah, but I do read the magazines while I'm there. That way I get a free read while I wait for my turn in line.

I don't really have a problem with the candy either, because I can easily convince myself that I don't need candy. It's very tempting though. <_<

The only magazines I read (guilty of it) is Woman's World and First. I love these two magazines, sometimes but not all the time --in fact very rarely, I will read People's Magazine to see the celebrity gossip and judge for myself whether it's true or not.

I usually end up with a soda because my boyfriend always needs to take his meds at odd times and its convenient if we already have a drink for him to take it with.
Sometimes we end up with candy bars or tic-tacs cause I'm a big impulse buyer, but I never get the magazines.
