My first "proper" job was as a glass collector in a local pub. It was a members only pub and meant that I was constantly surrounded by fifty-something men that had nothing better to do than sleaze on me. Ugh, I hated it. I lasted a month before I quit D;

My first job was a "textile processor" at Goodwill. I didn't even last a month before I quit. If you handle enough used underwear and cum rags/sheets/pants/towels, you tend to hate a job.

@Brit: If I was actually allowed to speak to customers it may have been, but my boss was a dragon. Eh. It wasn't for me D;

Yeah, since I wasn't old enough to serve them the boss said that I probably shouldn't speak to them unless I'm asking for glasses.

Cashiering. It was my summer job between semesters spent at college but even now that I've graduated I'm still going at it until I find a full time position.

My first job was as a "page" in a library, when I was fourteen. I shelved books and answered patrons' questions, and sometimes had to find old editions of newspapers and magazines for people in our back room. I did that for four years until I graduated high school. At the time I hated it, but now I kind of long for the days of hanging out on the upper floor balconies of the library putting biographies back in alphabetical order and reading excerpts from books that looked interesting!

I'm still at my first job. Been there for almost two years now. I'm a transcriptionist, basically I type up notes about patients. I worked in the office at first, and had a few other odd jobs around the office aside from typing, but I think the only thing I really was good at was the typing, so they just have me work at home now and hired other people to do the other stuff. Which kind of annoys me since I made a little more money actually being there doing other things, but at the same time I kind of don't care because I prefer just typing more than the other stuff I was doing, and it's also nice to work at home and be on my own schedule than to have to wake up and go to work. And I had a long workday and would get home very late.

I delivered flyers around the area, and got paid roughly $70/month(on average since it was based on the number of houses, and number of flyers that were needed to be delivered). And it wasnt a bad job, since I was only 13/14. So, nothing but my own expenses when I had that job.

:c.....I've never had a job. I've never had to get one because I'm still under my parents' roof. Plus, they don't want me to get a job until after I get my Bachelor's degree; they want me to put all my focus on getting that degree....But I feel like I'd miss out on some valuable experience...
