Well usually I'm the type to go out shopping at the very last minute. Well, a couple days before Christmas anyways XD, and most of the time I don't know what I'm going to be looking for. But this year, I'm gonna be more prepared for it. I'm gonna get some shopping started at least a week before Christmas <w<. And I've already been thinking of what to get my family and friends.

I usually get it early, but there are lots of us spending Christmas together this year, 17 of us, so rather than buy everyone something and end up broke, we decided to do a Secret Santa amongst the adults and are just buying individual gifts for the kids.
Only 4 under 18's to buy for and one secret santa gift.

My sister's step kids who are 17 and 15 just want money, so that's easy enough. No shopping required. Yay!
So I just have to buy something for my 2 nephews - twin 3 year old boys. I'll probably order them some things from eBay, as there's a good selection of kids stuff there all the time.
I got myself for the Secret Santa (I was last to pick a name out of the Santa hat and couldn't put myself back and pick another, as there were no others to pick lol).
So... just got to buy for the boys and myself (and something for my dog)
Not much to do this year really, so I haven't rushed.

Last minute. Like the day before Christmas Eve type of shopper. hahah.

I love Christmas and the whole season... likfe feom Halloween til New Years is the most awesome time. So I'll be shopping and buying gifts from the minute they put out Christmas decorations to the last minute. I just like getting things for other peopel and taking my time to wrap it up. Sometimes it's almost a shame that they have to be unwrapped cause everything loks so cool under the tree :heart:

So to answer, I guess I'm kinda both. But it's not amad dash on Christmas Eve, cause I already have everything that I really want to get for people...

Good job! I have completed almost all of mine online. I'm just waiting on one more package. I think I might need to get one or two more presents though. I hate Christmas shopping. :XD

Isn't online shopping handy? It's really useful to me :) I did most of my shopping the other day online. I wish I could be in the US for black friday. OMG.. the deals.. the money being saved.. the rush of possibly being trampled. lol

Zephi: Hahaha, Black Friday is something everyone should experience at least once. I like that the stores open at 5AM because I am a morning person and I move faster than the night people who are still in zombie mode. I don't know about money being saved, though, everyone just buys more! :XD

Yeah but there are some really good deals out there! So you get more for less money.. ok so maybe it's not being SAVED per say but you are getting more for less and that's pretty cool too. Well, you can save if you can resist a sale but who in their right mind can do THAT? lol

I'm usually horribly last minute. I've even gone to far as to buy peoples' Christmas presents after Christmas day, if I know I won't be seeing them until later.

I'm being a good girl this year, though.
Husby's and daughter's presents are all bought and paid for way in advance (except my little girl's goldfish, he's waiting until closer to the time because he can't go under the tree, so we'll be hiding him in our bedroom until Christmas Day), and the supplies for making presents for the rest of our family have all been ordered.
This year we're making gifts for our parents/siblings etc. so we'll need a bit more time to do it.

Nope, I wait until the last minute to do my christmas shopping...

I am one of those type of people that gets SOME shopping done early. Then I procrastinate to the last minute for the rest of the gifts. Lol.

Normally(when I have money) I go out early and buy. But this year...I might end up last minute running.

I'm one of those people who wait for the last minute on EVERYTHING xD I remember in middle school we always had all sorts of projects and everyone would finish it a few days before it was due but I would always wait until the night before it was due to finish the projectt xD finish

And for christmas, I start shopping for presents on christmas eve lol

You know there are some people out there who start their christmas shopping like the DAY after christmas. When they have all those after-christmas sales going on, people jump on them and then hide presents all year! I can't do that. I like to give them away too much, that's like keeping a secret all year log.

That's just crazy, Zephi! Those people must have a lot of confidence in their circle of friends. :XD

Yeah, the only problem apart from keeping a secret that long is what if that person goes out and buys one in that WHOLE YEAR that they have to wait. I mean, not like they knew or anything. Oh we used to have a rule in my house, after Thanksgiving you weren't allowed to buy anything for yourself. So that kinda makes it easy if there was something new that was coming out, you could hope that a friend or relative would buy it for you. If not I guess you could pick it up on one of the after sales. LOL

I am not celebrating Christmas this year. I really do not see the point since I am not religious at all. I used to celebrate it to see family but this past year of family events really opened my eyes to how some members of my family really are and I decided that I really rather not be around that kind of thing. I also do not like the idea of Christmas being so material.

A year without Christmas sounds like a vacation! I hope it works out for you. You should go on a trip by yourself, I know some people who do that. :)

I am hoping to go visit my exhusband so we can not celebrate together. XD That's if money allows though.

That's unromantic on a couple levels, which makes it sound dangerously romantic to me. :rofl:

No romance there, trust me. Been there, done that. XD
