I've never heard of Younglife before. Mind giving a brief run down on what it is?

Hey do you guys have amazing christian songs? At my catholic school we had the "Jesus Time" song, and it was the best. It went, "Jesus one, jesus one, let's all do the jesus run!" and then all the kids would pretend to stagger while carrying crosses.

Church camp is so great and terrible. I wish I was eleven again so I could go there and drink grape juice and pretend to do miracles.

Eeek. To each their own, I suppose. Is it at least an open minded site? I've been to so many churches (when I was still Christian and not a heathen like I am now) that thought it was okay to be ignorant and stupid simply because they were 'saved'. I feel that it's a very bad thing to teach to children and teens, especially since ignorance still runs rampant, even in these enlightened times.

I used to do something similar. It was a good thing to get kids into because of the community aspect of it. I however do not think that religion should have been as big of a role as it was just because there could have been more kids involved if it was not religion based. It was a lot of fun to help kids and stuff like that though.

OK....first things first....yes, it technically religious youth group... no it is not an online community (although we do have a facebook page)...thirdly we're not those "born again christian youth army abstenence" type christians... and finally i found some of the comments to be a little close-minded... Yonglife is basically a safe haven for teens to hang out and have fun with good friends and the songs we sing aren't entirely religious...for example..."don't stop believing" by journy " summer of 69" by bryan adams.. and a bunch of stuff from coldplay... anyhow, younglife is also a safe haven for teens who do have questions about religion and we'll accept you no matter what you believe ...

I looked it up on google, and it sounds very interesting. :) I'm 14, but I'm not Christian. I could actually be considered the exact opposite; I'm an Agnostic Atheist. (my family is Christian, though) But I also love learning about other religions. <3 It's fascinating. Besides, one of the main reasons I don't believe in a God is because I have yet to hear a truly convincing argument. (I'm a very logical thinker. It's hard to convince me of anything that can't be proven.) Can I assume that someone who isn't Christian can't join...?

Huh, I always thought that Journey song was called "Midnight Train". XD Just thought I'd throw that out there.

actually ZeGuMmIBeaRQueEn, anyone can join...it's really just about having good times with great people...the only part where you have to be christian is if you want to become a leader...but other than that you can believe whatever you want and we'll accept you :)

An ex of mine was involved in a group like that. :?
I don't know much about it, but he really liked it.

It's not something for me though being the raging atheist that I am.

I mean activities that are based off christianity. I have nothing against it, but generally, even if the community is totally open-minded, as an agnostic, I feel awkward around things like that.
