Change the World!
It's just a fact that nobody lives in a perfect world. Everywhere you look there is crime, poverty, hatred, etc. So, I was wondering... What are 3 things that you wish you could change about the world?
|
The economy, littering, and poachers.
They all need to stop what they're doing. Seriously. They're good for nothing. And by the economy, I mean it going up and down over time. It needs to stick in one spot where everyone's happy. |
Ah yes, litterers! It's so gross. As is poaching, but around here we don't really hear about that anymore.

First of all I would liketo change how people look at other people. I hate it when people look down on other people. I belive that we are all equal. Next I would like to end would hunger. It's cheesy and it needs to be done. lastly I would like to end all wars. We are all just people and we should not fight over land that's not even really ours. It's a piece of planet and you really can't own it.

I would like for people to be more open and accepting of others that are "different" or that live "different" life styles than they do. Understanding goes a long way in keeping peace. Second thing would to have a health care system where everyone, not just those who can afford it, can get quality medical attention when they need it. Third, respect. People need to learn to respect themselves, others, and nature.

1. I wish there was no such thing as mob mentality, where everyone shuts off their minds and follow the crowd in order to meet their needs of acceptance. I know this mentality is impossible to eradicate, but more things would be done if there were more individualists/movers.
2. I wish there were more movers than takers. It is the people who branch out of the crowd that produce and change the world, but--unfortunately--they are almost always taken advantage over by the sheer, uncontrolled masses. 3. I wish technology could continue to grow without so many people trying to hinder it, saying to "go back to nature." Technology is the man-made miracle of creation. Without creation, the Earth is unable to move forward and we'd all be living like animals with death, sickness, and hunger nipping at our heels. But I believe this technology should be kept in balance with nature; both keep mankind alive and both should be equally respected. We were given the gift of technology for a reason. |
Very well put :D

You make it sound like such a simple decision to make.
I'm not sure what I'd change. There are a couple ideas floating around my head, like the abolishment of religion, responsibility for the consequences of our actions both mundane, social, and environmental; the unadultered advancement of science and art without infringement on human rights or common sense, all sorts of things I would change. |
I don't think I'd want to live in a perfect world.
It would be so boring and... pointless. Although I guess if everything was perfect, it could be a perfect world for us if we were all less able to comprehend how mundane everything was. So maybe making us (as a species) less capable of deep thought would help. Actually, the more I think about it, the more I like the thought of cutting out human beings ability to ponder and analyse things in great depth. Would make life so much more simple. Maybe we could all go back to basics and just worry about food water and shelter and not all the additional junk we've added on to that with 'progress'. Okay, just one change I'd like to make, and that's to reverse human beings evolutionary process and send us all back to when we were not all that different to monkeys. |
I'd change people's views on animal welfare. There's too many ignorant people who treat animals poorly and even more government officials who seem to think this is okay.
I'd also change people's treatment towards other people. That'll never happen of course, but one could dream. It's ridiculous to see kids pick on other kids because one looks different, is gay, shy, etc. I also would change the way people rely so much on technology. It's crippling and it's absolutely ridiculous to me. People in ancient times were able to create magnificent buildings that lasted thousands of years without machines and here, we can't reconstruct the same miracles with all our great technology. People grow more ignorant and more dependent on technology as it advances further. Granted, technology is not bad, but it's pretty ridiculous to see how our own instinct has been dulled by the comforts given to us. It's like, if something like power to break down or black out, they'd panic because they wouldn't know how to go on without it. Ridiculous. |
I wish people would be more acceptable of people's religious views. Especially where I'm from...if you don't go to church, you're considered a freak. I'm Agnostic...but I never try to tell someone how to live their life.
Second, I wish people people would open up love in their hearts. If people loved a little bit more, there wouldn't be anymore abuse, depression, shootings, suicide, bullying...a lot of issues in the world. Last, I'd like for hunger and poverty to end. Millions of people don't know where their next home or meal is. It's heart breaking. :C |
1) mass exploitation and destruction of fellow earthings (human and animal) and the environment.
2) ignorance. (I would love education for all!) 3) homelessness, starvation and sickness destroying humanity (tax the rich bastards, create more social programs!) I thought this question was going to be "how are YOU going to change the world?" It's actually my mission in life to try to do SOMETHING, even in my small way, about all these things. It's my life's mission. So many more, but those are just a few... ---------- Quote:
How we treat animals really says something about how humans treat other people, and show us what kind of society we really are. |
