I am quite open minded when it comes to this kind of topic. personally i am straight, but I know people who are lesibeans and gay, and they are happy and comfoortable with themselves.
I never really understood why in some places it is illegal to have same sex marriges. if their in love then why not let them be together? And it shows how far we have come as people. Twenty years ago you could not show belly buttons on television. Now you can be pretty much naked on television.
In like the fifties, everyone hid the fact of being gay. Now in the two-thousands, it is acceptable by nearly everyone to be gay. There still are a few closed minded people who think it is wrong. They can have their opinons. And that is all right and all. It just does not make any sense and it shows that they are not comfortable with their own sexuality. That does not mean they are gay, they just do not want to seem gay to others. Which shows that they want to be all in their faces with their straightness. In my opinon, most people who are againest gayness, they are probably hiding something. Or maybe even they are gay themselves.

Eh..I don't think that homophobes are gay themselves. They just refuse to come out of their own little 'bubble" and actually see things for how they are. My neighbor is like that as was my ex's dad. People fear and hate what they do not understand. A lot of people don't understand why someone would be attracted to someone of the same gender because it's "unnatural" according to them. Also, in a lot of places in the world being homosexual can mean death, even places in the US.

I live by a church with a lot of older people and a few of them who think it's "wrong" for a girl to date another girl. My neighbor is also homophobic which really ticks me off especially because he says stuff to me about it. It does seem that homosexuality is becoming more and more acceptable in society which is a good thing. It reminds me of when blacks weren't allowed to have rights or marry. I am hoping to be able to marry in my lifetime. My reasons are pretty much the same as Hyena's I want to point to my partner and be able to say "That's my wife!".

I'm just glad there's a few towns here that are pretty open with gay people. I love it. There's a bunch of pride events and it gives me a chance just to be who I am without being harassed or getting weird looks from people.

Lesbians are wierd and unnatural. Like for real keep it at your house. Like come on just hide your shame.

Obvious troll is obvious. But I do have something to say about "what my parents think."

My parents think that I am very brave for facing a world of adversity with a mature attitude. They support my relationship with Liz because they think that, as a person, she is good for me. And after being in a relationship for more than two years, they can see the positive changes in my behavior after having someone as compared to when I was in high school. So the whole "what do their parents think" argument is moot. Completely moot.
