(Is a little embarrassed to start this thread)

So I read in an article the other day about people walking around the house in the nude. Supposedly, children who grow up in houses where this kind of thing is normal, have better self confidence, especially about their body, because they see what a normal, average body looks like, as opposed to one of the perfect bodies in Hollywood. I personally never have felt comfortable walking around naked, and my parents never did it when I was little. I have some issues with my body image and self confidence. I wish I could be comfortable with it though XD

So anyways, what do you think about this idea? Do you walk around your house naked? (that's a pretty personal question XD)

I wouldnt mind but some people would think that it's not good for you and your children to be naked in the house..

I can imagine going to bed naked, but walking around...? No way. I'm not comfortable enough with my body to do that. Besides, when I was little I saw someone naked inside their home and was scared. XD So I just don't like the idea.

I would never want to see my parents naked though I have before. Put that shit away.

I personally see nothing wrong with it, although my parents didn't really walk around the house naked. I thin it is good for a child, although I don't think, when I ever have kids, I would be brave enough to set that sort of example. Plus, I get cold easily, so walking around naked wouldn't work.

I really wouldn't mind at all, and plus I'm lazy so if I forget something when I go to take a shower I would rather just walk out and get it than grab a towel or something. I would have no problem at all, just once I get my own place ya know?

As for with kids, one of my friends, their parents never made their youngest wear clothes. He had no issues with being naked or anything. Now I haven't seen this family in a while but from what I've seen this boy is still as bold as ever. It was just accepted, no one cared he was naked. That was why they did it, because they didn't want him to grow up and think nudity was a bad thing.

I walk around my house naked... but only when no one's home. There's something really liberating about it lol. Or maybe I just hate bras.

I ran around naked half my childhood. I didn't care. In fact, I thought it was funny. I don't really do it anymore though, unless no one's home. But, my parents never initiated it. I mean, they were completely comfortable with nudity and all, but they never intentionally did it to help me with self-esteem. I guess my family is just weird.

I like to walk around the house naked when nobody else is home, it's nice and if anybody sees me through the windows its their own damn fault for looking in me house. Idk about parents and children doing it aorund eachother though, that osunds a bit off to me.

This, really. I enjoy being naked, just because it's comfortable, but I know it makes other people feel awkward, so I do clothe myself in public xD

I would, but I find it's always cold here.

I have the whole basement of my parent's house to myself...so...yeah...I have tendencies to walk around naked a lot. Especially if it's a shower day. XD I have a silk robe that I'll grab and a lot of the time I'll just wear that and walk about.

My parents are very modest people when it comes to nudity, etc. I've just become the way I am because I am me. Lol. And even I'm not that extremist on it. I'd never walk around naked in front of my kids, but I'd make sure they knew it was normal.

I don't tend to walk around naked much, but I do spend most of my time indoors scantily clad. My favorite lounge-around outfit is usually just as skirt, and goin' commando underneath.

I understand modesty tho. It's not like I don't keep my legs crossed if there's company. I doubt even when i'm alone I'd be all hiked up and legs splayed anyway.

If I'm home alone I have no problem with it, but it's not something I grew up with.
It's funny, With that study OP mentioned, yeah I never grew up seeing the naked human body, but I have amazing self-confidence (everyone else calls it ego)

I enjoy being naked, but ya know, alone. Primarily because that's how I've done it mostly. I don't have issues with nudity, so I suppose aside from the general getting used to it part, I wouldn't have a huge issue about benign nudity all around. Not something I think I'm going to actively pursue, though.

I watched clockwork orange today, and halfway through I realised that I just wasn't noticing the fact that people were naked. It was just a really casual thing. I think, like Biggles above, that I could easily get used to being in a naked society. (Though I might opt for clothing in winter, brrr.)

If I'm alone, like early in the morning, and it's not too cold or I'm already naked, then I don't have a problem with trotting around naked for a while. I'll cover up by the time my dad wakes up though, but even then I might only throw on a long shirt. I've been sauntering around my house pantsless ever since I was little, so so long as everything is covered up, I still don't have an issue. :3

No, not at all, but that doesn't mean I have no absolute self-confidence. You don't have to walk around your house naked to feel god about the way you look. And those people are just used to it, good for them that they feel free. But most of us feel free in different ways, and that's just their way that portrays freedom.

My family don't walk around our house naked. Sometimes after a shower we'll wander round in our towels for a while, or considering the majority of my family sleep in underwear we'll walk around in our pants. That's about it though. Walking around completely starkers would be a bit awkward for people I guess, not so much my mum, dad or brother, more visitors or people who walk past the house. xD

i don't think there's anything wrong with letting kids around naked. It would help their self esteem and I've run into too many toddlers that just hate clothes for me to care anymore lol. The only real issue is that they should be kept inside, or in a closed backyard when doing so. I don't know about you guys, but I don't want any strangers with unknown habits to be staring at my naked kid. Mind you, that's not an issue for me seeing as i don't have kids. I have gotten used to my nephew running amok nude though lol.

As for myself and other adults, generally I think the same thing. As long as you and the people around you in the house are comfortable with it, then who cares if you're naked? Generally it's your family and lets face it, it's probably nothing they haven't seen before. My parents have certainly seen me growing up, and as a baby I had baths with my brothers so whatever XD

My roommates off in college however, it's a different deal. I don't think they'd appreciate my nude-ness strutting about, so I keep the naked behind my closed bedroom door :P

You know, I really wouldn't have a problem being naked around my famly, friends, schoolmates, etc. I'm not extrmely confident, but I really enjoy being naked. If it were nice and warm all over, id be very happy naked all the time. I''d be pretty comfortable lacking clothes even outside, but the world is a modest place, in such respects.

But, since things aren't awesome in the world I do onlywalk around my house naked.

lol x3 well once im fully home alone I will take off my clothes besides my panties and walk about until someone gets home lol. or if its just me and grandma and papa home (I live with my grandparents) I will walk around in my nderwear and a shirt lol they really dont care XD!
