Well I have been here awhile on mene and I have seen repeated topics a lot! So what so that tell you? Maybe mene needs to come up with something different for the users can do? Anything new comes up its due to real life ? So do you see what I see?

I haven't seen any repeat topics (yet).
But I just started using the site...so...yeah.

When I First joined I posted a lot of topics. Then I stopped after awhile I saw repeating :lol: oh well it happens in this section. Only place you don't get Gold is in the games forum :gonk:

Another user and I were talking about how people post repeat topics a lot. It used to be that Mene staff just merged threads but the rules are more relaxed now so there are a lot of repeat topics now. I kind of liked the idea of threads having to be six months old before someone could remake a topic. That also kind of scares people away from making new topics if they're new though so I can kind of see why they don't enforce the no repeat thread rule as much any more.

This is why I lurk before I post.

I try to search the forum before I post, but repeat topics are a way bigger problem on other sites than on mene I think, so I'm happy with how things are at the moment.

Everytime I make a topic here, I end up getting new mail here telling me that "your topic has been moved", just because someone had already made a little topic about it, pisses me off.. >>

I have seen this alot too lol.
though it doesnt really bother me XD
I post in the 2ed (or more) forums they have all the time. =))

Then....maybe you should check existing topics before creating new ones?

I wish Mene would go back to merging similar topics more often again.

I remember just last month that somebody posted a Nail Polish thread two days after I'd posted mine (which was still very popular) and no mod did anything about it. That one bothered me a little bit. I mean, it was the EXACT same topic, but mine was first. >.> I'm not complaining now since it's been so long, but still. It bothered me at the time.

They merged mine one time I was very new lol

I guess people just need to be more creative?
