I understand sorry to offend you personally I wasn't trying to I wouldn't call you a fangirl because you didn't attack me for saying what I thought about it even though you love it, you didn't put me down for not liking it. fangirls would be those that responded to my comment with what they did they could of just said well thats your opinion and to each their own or something like that but they didn't

/Rage!!!
Jk jk

I like yaoi in the sense of romance and stuff. Not the sex part, that actually kind of creeps me out. o 3o;; Looks painful too..>.>;;

But anyway! I find it funny people freak out when a guy hates yaoi. o: Like "OMG, a straight guy hates yaoi! " Yeah, the horror? Lmfao.

*Looks around with big watery anime eyes* You say fan girl like it's a bad thing..... True, I'm a fanBOY, but....I enjoy my title and wear it proudly! Mwahahahahaaaa! *Cough* Anyway, good dicussion going on here, I like! I must interject, there are seeeeveral yaoi with non femmenin males. Examples? Ai No Kusabi, Kizuna, Blue Wolf, Boku no Seku Hara, and Gakuen Heaven. All of which have what you refer to as "Many Men". Exspecialy Blue Wolf...which I wouldn't recomend to anyone here unless you are reaaally into the man man part. *Grins* And there's the gross factor on that one at the beginning. . . . . .

Anyway, can't wait to hear more! *Runs off to write fanfiction*

Honestly I just hate having just 1 gender in an anime/manga... it basically forces a whole city/school to be one preference in a sense... which I don't think is very "accurate"

The Wandering Poet: Well, I have to agree with that, in the accuracy sense, but as far as the eyecandy seeker in me? It's nice to get a never ending burette of num nums to watch. And, ther are times when it's accurate......like all boys schools :P

 Well if you watch it for eye candy that's fine, but I personally find having multiple genders allows a more appealing storyline...

Though if you like eye candy... Ouran High School Host Club... multiple genders with lots of eye candy XD

I don't mine yaoi and yuri I just like to have all types together XD (kinda like real life)

Add another one to the Yaoi fan list because I am one!

Um.. hm... what to say. There's so much discussion going on here.

@The Wandering Poet: I know what you mean about some being inaccurate about the gender numbers. There's a fantasy themed BL I'm reading that has probably 2 female characters in it. @[email protected] The other twenty or so characters that you actually learn the names of are all men. I find that kind of ridicules. Of course only main two characters are gay, so I'll accept it.

And well, I like lots of yaoi. I'm trying to right my own. But I'm kinda failing.

Sure, I could always use some writing advice.

I've got the gist of the story planned out in my head, but it's getting it onto paper that is the troubling part.

Ah yes. I know this sounds silly, but a fan and some good music are always good ways to start. Try to get music that matches the mood of what you are writing. only do sxy music for the actual sex scenes, m'kay? With me so far?

Haha. Yeah, I'm with you so far.

Music can be very inspiring, and I do have a lot of it.

Oki, this next part may sound alittle silly, but it helps me. Tap your fingers on any surface, and let your mind wander over what you want to do. As your fingers tap, it's a mind finger connection thing. Your fingers will begin trying to type out what your writing before you even start, and when you have a few lines in your head, pop your fingers onto the keyboard and have at it! I find over the ear headphones very helpful for keeping out distractions too, but whatever works for you. Try not to play songs you have a tendance to sing to, or you'll find yourself singing more then typeing.

That doesn't sound silly at all.

I usually hand write my things though. And when I let my mind wander it tends to not go back. Then I've daydreamed way ahead of what I've got written! XD

And yeah, I'll probably listen to instrumental music while writing, because I like to sing too much.

In that case, rather then tapping, draw long looping lines with just your fingers, and use your whole hand. Try doing it on paper so your hand desensitizes before you actually start writing.

Yeah, finding well drawn yaoi is kind of difficult sometimes. And finding good plots too. A lot of them are so much of the same thing. -.-

That's kinda why I'm trying to write my own. I want to write yaoi that has a good plot and is not just about the sex!

Well, since Shotachan has disappeared I guess I'll explain it.

It's basically a Japanese term to describe manga/anime/stories that revolve around gay male characters and those kinds of relationships.

I love yaoi because of the romance is sweeter and more exciting wether yaoi or shounen ai based. It just has more story and more emotions. As when it comes to yuri its just sweet or gets to the point. There is more drama or problems when it comes to yaoi and its life like. But, I'm more of a fan when its not real life stuff but I dont bash either. As I said before "If it doesn't involve me, I dont care"

Thanks for explaining Sho I have actually never heard of it and would shock most but I don't really read anime or manga. Sure sounds interesting though I never would have thought they would have gay manga.

Yeah. I think it is really growing in popularity over here in America. You can even find a lot in the local bookstores. It's insane.
